Haslem's staying put

Dallas and Denver struck out. Expect the offers for Al to get a bit more interesting, as free agent possibilities are seriously drying up.

As for the Heat, they're already putting together a much better supporting cast than I thought they'd be able to. Big 3 plus Chalmers, Miller, Haslem, Joel Anthony. I wasn't going to crown them yet (if Orlando doesn't match the offer for Redick, I actually prefer Chicago's roster), but I might have to change my tune if they land Fisher.

Honestly, I think the higher-than-expected cap figure is going to fuel the conspiracy theorists - i.e. Stern saw that Miami was going to have to play each of the big 3 40+ minutes per night, and foresaw either injuries or an empty tank come playoff time. Presto! More cap space to let them add some rotation-worthy talent, and the biggest story in the NBA doesn't flame out in January.
