Ridnour is in the house "sort of"
I found on twitter that Luke Ridnour has agreed in principle to a deal as stated below, also I posted a little bit ago about where our wolves would move Ramon Sessions, it also states that the wolves may move him to the Charlotte Bobcats. What do you all think of this deal?
TWolf_Pack RT @WojYahooNBA Ridnour has agreed in principle to a 4-yr, $16 million deal with Wolves, sources say. Wolves may move Sessions to Charlotte.

I guess it depends on what the Sessions deal is.

I agree... sort of...
If you are talking straight up skills and potential: Sessions > Ridnour
But, if you are comparing what they mean to the Twolves, then: Ridnour > Sessions
If you read bloodface’s post from yesterday “Ridnour in, sessions out” I think you will agree that this is the case as well
Shooting
Ridnour is a better shooter than Sessions, which is why I’d guess the Wolves favor him.
And
he’s more likely to accept the backup role and go with it. Sessions deserves a shot at starting somewhere.

Sessions can’t hit an outside shot and PGs need to in the triangle. And Flynn is the starter (until Rubio comes). So, Ridnour is the better fit.

Hollins also deserves a shot at starting.....
Wolves need to give Darko away

Ridnour is more of a pass first point. Not the type that is going to he making flashy passes all day but someone who can run the offense. Probably a better mentor for Flynn and would be a nice backup to Rubio if that is the direction the Wolves choose to go. Plus he would be easy to move as he would be a solid backup on a contending team.

For The Love Of God, Please Get Jonny Flynn Out Of Minnesota STAT
by Sean Keeley on Jul 13, 2010 3:06 PM CDT
The Timberwolves are a nightmare of a pro franchise and Dave Kahn is the lunatic driving the crazy bus. I mean, just look at this timeline of his ridiculous decision-making prowess. Kahn just unloaded his best player to one of Minnesota’s rivals and is about to sign free-agent point guard Luke Ridnour.
Interesting because the team already has two very capable point guards, Jonny Flynn and Ramon Sessions. Oh and they’ve also got some guy named Ricky Rubio under contract, though he will never, ever play for the team. And if he does, he won’t be nearly worth half of what they initially thought.
The rumor is that Kahn wants to unload Sessons but it’s no secret that Flynn had been rumored tradebait for months now. Jonny and the Triangle Offense go together about as well as UConn and laptops not bolted down to the table. The fans don’t seem to like Flynn, his name comes up in trade talks every couple weeks and his GM is making decisions based on how his D&D 20-sided dice roll.
While it seems like Jonny is now looking at backup-status, if not shared duties at the point. And if I didn’t know any better, the team seems to be built around Darko Milicic. With the arrival of Wes Johnson, perhaps that gives Jonny a bit of incentive to make it work in Minny but that’s not just up to him at this point. Hopefully, Flynn will indeed get that trade one of these days and get the chance to play for a team that wants him, in an offense he fits, in front of fans who want to cheer for him.
Then again, you never know what Dave Kahn has up his sleeve next. He might keep Jonny, he might trade him to Memphis or he might trade him to the Saskatchewan Roughriders for a kicker. Everything’s in play at this point.

Eh, you can't let it bother you
whether you agree or disagree with the abuse Kahn takes, it’s going to happen when you win 15 games. Just wait (if you are an optimist) until they are winning, then throw your “I told you so’s”.
I will say this, however: I love the “Rubio will never play for the Wolves…but if he does it still won’t work out.” in other words, “I’ll say two unreconcilable things so that I’m less likely to be wrong in the end.”

We trade Sessions for Henderson and Augustin?

Kahn wouldn't trade Flynn
That would be admitting the enormous error he made in selecting him in the first place over Curry, which to this day he has not acknowleged was the wrong prick. When I heard Kahn talk about the pick of Flynn over Curry in an online video a few weeks ago, he hemmed and hawed and it was the first time I’d ever seen him at a loss for words, almost choking to say the right thing. He still didn’t admit his mistake, and probably never will. It’s a choice that will follow him throughout his tenure. The only hope is that Flynn can somehow become a star and Curry will regress. I know, fat chance. Now, we have to hope that Wes Johnson can become a better star than DMC, or it’s deja vu all over again, two years in a row.
