So reads the article title on my ESPN widget. I clicked on it, wondering if maybe Utah had signed Richard Jefferson or something. I mean, Al is certainly a new addition, but I would have offered you maybe 700 adjectives before getting to "versatile."

Upon reading the article, I learned that the versatility in question is Al's ability to play both the 4 and 5; he did not, in fact, covertly develop a skill to complement his low-post scoring and rebounding.

I also learned, upon reading the article, that Utah GM Kevin O'Connor has, shall we say, a Tobias-like affinity for remarkably unfortunate turns of phrase. Actual quote (in reference to Big Al's toughness): "How many guys in the league talk about going down in the low post and love to get banged?"

There's just no way I can comment on any part of that statement without getting myself banned.

In short, I wish Al the best, and I'm glad he'll finally get to play on a winning team. May he go down in the low post and get banged to his heart's content.
