NBA 2K11 Starting Five Ratings
As some of you may know, the annual iterations of basketball games are coming out in about two weeks. 2K has recently shared the starting five for each team and the players' ratings. Keep in mind this is the tentative default starting five. The ratings are purely subjective and should change once the season gets under way (2k constantly updates the ratings all season depending on how the players are playing).
PG Jonny Flynn - 74
SG Corey Brewer - 70
SF Wesley Johnson - 73
PF Kevin Love - 74
C Darko Milicic - 57
Fynn is recovering so obviously he won't be starting yet, but the biggest eye-catcher is Darko at 57. In comparison, the lowest other starting centers are JaVale McGee at 59 and Joel Anthony at 58. Does that seem right? No. Good thing this is just a video game :) Also realize that the ratings are based on their position so having Flynn and Love at 74 does not mean they are the same.
Other Notables
PG Dwyane Wade - 97
SF Lebron James - 97
SG Kobe Bryant - 97
PG Chris Paul - 95
C Dwight Howard - 88
SG Evan Turner - 76
PG John Wall - 81
Wade at PG??
Wall is the highest rated rookie. Favors and Cousins were not listed as starting for their team.
No one get too upset over these. Again, this is just 2K's speculations in a video game. Who knows how these guys will play once the season starts.

Disappointing
Is Beasley going to be our highest rated player?? Man It is going to be fun OWNING punks with a team that doens’ t have an 80 overall player :)
I'm a Timberwolves fan, therefore I must be a masochist.
One thing you realise about this game
The guards got way higher ratings then the big men. Dwight Howard put up better numbers than anyone else, but he’s really not that good video game wise. he can’t shoot, dribble, or make free throws. All guards got higher ratings then big men. I think Beasley will get a 78 rating. That’s what I think. But Zach Randolph at twenty and ten only got an 80 rating. It’s a guards game so that’s why you can’t get mad at K Love’s rating. No big men got love. Cousins and Favors and Turner aren’t starters so I feel that right there raises Wes’ honors. It should be an awesome game.
I'm always doing a Twolves Association
Usually have at least three going on at once. One is with realistic rosters, another is with a fantasy team of legends, and the other one with Love as a 99 rated superstar, hehe.
the ratings can be mind boggling
but then again…i played a game last week and had r.rubio finish with 52 assists… so i guess i can’t complain. if they are wrong, from my perspective, i’ll just change them.
I have created over 30-40 associations...
Every single one with the wolves. Heres what my ratings would be.
Flynn 74
Webster 70
Beasley 80
Love 78
Darko 65

Would Hollins be -3?
No one is getting Rubio's rights unless they pry them from our cold dead fingers.

Yeah about that big men thing...
D.Howard at 88? Come on…
"We're not talking about me and Darko in the same sentence." - Chris Webber vs KAHN!

I also think
Vince Carter is overrated and Devin Harris is underrated.

No Pekovic, eh?
Koufos and Tolliver are higher than Darko? Interesting. Those are some strange ratings.
I can see Tolliver...
because he has more of a “skilled” game in an inferior frame, which the 2k series is trying to compensate for by giving players that get by b/c of size lower points, But Koufos?!? There really isn’t an argument for him being better than Darko.
I hate these ratings.
what the fuck were they thinking? 2K hoops is usually on point with everything. I don’t think they’ve ever even seen Love play before. “Oh yeah, he’s that fat white guy in fly-over country. Let’s give him a 74. That sounds about right.”
R-Tards.
Don’t even get me started that 49 year old Tim Duncan is the highest rated Big in the game. Is it still 2006?
This year's T'Wolves look like last year's Suns.
Extremely average (minus Steve and Amar’e). Does that make you guys feel any better?
