Slightly intoxicated by the euphoria of a win last night has brought me to the point of having fun with a little trade proposal. Unfortunately the Trade Machine is blocked from my work, so I'm not sure this will all work, but here is the basic idea...
I know the love for Beasley runs deep on this board, and I am hard pressed to give him up right now, but I thought I would throw this out there to see what people thought of the idea. Please don't waste your energy with scathing remarks, I'm just trying to have a little fun.Ok, so here we go for real...
Yahoo is reporting here that Cleveland is discussing a trade for Gerald Wallace and a protected first round pick for cap space.
Philly has been playing a little better as of late, and probably wouldn't drop Iggy for cap space, but what about something like this...
Min:
Out: Beas, Brewer, Telfair, and KK
In: Wallace, Iggy, and first round pick
Phil:
Out: Iggy
In: Beas, Brewer, Telfair, and KK
Charlotte:
Out: Wallace and first round pick
In: Cap space
We could then flip 1 of our (then) 4 first round picks for someone like AR to replace Koufos as a big.
Probably resign Sundita Gains as a 3rd PG.
Brewer's defense is replaced by Iggy.
Beasley's scoring is replaced by Wallace.
We have lots of athleticism behind Love (Tolliver/AR)
The wings are a little older (Iggy/Wallace), but we'd have time for the youth to grow behind them (Wes/Webster).
Depth chart for next year would then be...
Rubio/Ridnour
Iggy/Wes
Wallace/Webster
Love/Tolliver/AR
Darko/Pek/AR
And 3 first round picks.
Thanks for reading.
