The owners are now offering 51% BRI which was initially rejected by the players. However, Stern is leaving the offer on the table until Wednesday, after which the owner's will reduce their offer to 47% BRI and add a flex cap. This is as close to an ultimatum as it gets from my perspective. If the players reject this offer I think the season will fall by the wayside. Update: Another article posted shortly after this one indicates the player's union leadership will not even present the owner's proposal to the players for consideration. It seems to me that Jeffrey Kessler, the union's attorney, is truly detrimental to this process, but I am guessing this is a matter of perspective. Regardless, as it stands now, if I were a betting man I would wager there will be no season.
