I hope he doesn't averages
19.2 points and 5.6rebounds a game.

Good for him
He gets to go to a winning organization where there won’t be any pressure on him to work his way into a starting role. Best of luck Lazar.
Good for us too, I know OKC’s 2nd round pick probably has about as much value as an UDFA but it clears his salary and frees up roster space for us at a cluttered position.
Everyone’s happy.
Also
It gives khan a lot more time to devise a scheme of selling the picks.

The new CBA limits money a team can make selling picks in one draft to $3 million,
a rule put in place because of what Kahn did at the last draft. So Kahn will have to come up with some other scheme now.
Mannafest Destiny
Is this true?
Or just something you are thinking? Interesting new rule regardless.
yep it's called getting Kahned
whether it’s the teams giving up the money in kahn’s pyramid scheme or the team selling its basketball prospects for cash that’s getting Kahned is up for debate, however.
I don’t actually like the rule. It’s just another bad implementation of trying to protect teams from themselves and their own poor decisions.
Protect them from Kahn is more like!
I’m still impressed what he managed in that draft… Made enough money to get rid of Rambus, got a player, and broke the system!
But I still wish we would have ended up with marshawn brooks.
Lazar seemed cool
but mayn i did not like him at all az a player. if dat dude wuzzint shooting a wide open three, an even at dat he wuz mediocre, he wuz useless az dis empty bag uv kill i got.

Not enough burn
Lazar is a good player that was in a bad system on a dreadful team. Hope his potential is realized with a winning franchise.
Dingus Kahn, it's over
Agreed - seemed like Lazar was a good guy who worked hard on both ends
Hope he does well in OKC
So how protected are these picks?
I think this is the first time in history one man managed to destroy an entire city by himself. Even the Enola Gay had a flight crew.
Top 50
I don't know what an art house is, I don't know what goes on in an art house, I have never been in an art house, and I can't imagine it's any place I ever want to be.
ESPN Reports:
“As budding superstar Lazar Hayward just started to come into his own as player, he was traded to the Thunder in order to clear a roster spot for an undersized guard without a defined position. We were expecting a breakout year from Lazar under new head coach Rick Adelman. KKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNN!”

How does this fit into the Lazar sucks general consensus?
I always thought that the only reason this guy ‘sucked’ was because he was a 1st Rounder (and the ridiculous way they acquired him)
plug him into a 2nd Rd expectation machine and suddenly i could view him as the next Mario Elie in the right environment.

Hi guys, just made this spreadsheet. You think i have counted the rookie salaries in the right way? I’d like to inform me if you find any mistake or omission.
Missing a couple players
Brad Miller and Malcolm Lee – though I don’t think his contract details have been reported
Thanks pal. I have already added Miller.

Rookies salaries are calculated according to the previous CBA.

Malcolm Lee at the point

Interesting that they want him at PG and SG. Seems like they are making plans for someone to go even more so … Luke?
To the highest bidder
at the deadline. That’s my prediction. Luke should have pretty good value to a team trying to make the playoffs who needs a backup PG or a spot starter due to injuries. His contract isn’t bad and he’s a steady guy.
I do wonder, tho, if the Wolves might try and work a deal out to send him to Portland or someplace out west so that he can be closer to Seattle.

Good thought...
That would be a plus for the franchise to do a deal to help the player. Luke deserves it. It is characteristic of current Wolves management to do this kind of deal. Hope it works out that way.
using Twitter for quotes...
when he gets to interview him in person, odd choice Ray.
I was listening to an interview with Woj last night and he made a point that he was vacationing in Florida when the whole Lockout Ending Story broke and he was not at Lockout Hotel to cover the news conference. He says it didn’t bother him that much because all his info comes from sources (in the room) and the communication networks are such nowadays that you don’t need to be face to face to get your story.

Trade for Hayward to guard Durant in practice
Did anyone else see this article? Looks like the main reason OKC wanted Lazar was to guard Durant in practice. Also of interesting note in the article, Rambis is helping coach at OKC?!?!?!
That is interesting
Lazar seems to have a similar body/game to Ron Artest – except he would be a very very poor man’s version
can you imagine...
OKC offering Kahn a second round pick for Lazer, to which Kahn replies, “make it two second round picks.”
