A place to relegate someone management thinks can play, but the coach doesn't. With the addition of Ricky Rubio, JJ Barea, Derrick Williams, a full season of Anthony Randolph, and roster full of young guys seeking minutes, competition for minutes should be fierce.
Just who will those players be that lose their minutes? Each player is given a threshold relative to last year's minutes per game. This makes it easier to say Beasley playing 20 minutes per game is a bigger slight than Darko only playing 15 minutes.
