I really love the TWolves. I would really love to watch them play basketball. The advertisers would really love for me to see their ads. I would even love to pay money to watch the TWolves play basketball. But the NBA continues to fail to let me do so. Why is the NBA so incompetent/stupid? Let's examine.
The NBA is a stupid, stupid organization. It is run by an old white man, and like all old white men he is frightened and frustrated by electricity and in particular, the internet.
Many other companies have rational pricing structures for their products. For example, you can buy 1 song for a dollar or less. That seems to make both sense and cents. But the NBA does not seem to like to make either.
Currently if you want to watch a TWolves game it will cost you either $120.00 on the internet or thousands of dollars cumulatively to get a cable tv subscription. I don't know about you but $120.00 for 1 TWolves game is a bit high.
Why doesn't the NBA let you purchase one game at a time for a reasonable price, you ask? That is a great question! Please see the 8th sentence of this article for the answer.
The NBA's insane and outdated pricing structure has encouraged and helped develop a small but burgeoning network of what we call "illegal streamz" on the "netz". These streams let TWolves fans see actual games when there is no other option! The odd thing about these streams is that there is often legit advertisers on the streams, indicating that they are working with legit companies and people are making money. But of course, it is still only the poor enduring Wolves fan who is condemned and pursued for merely wanting to see their beloved team in action.
So in this thread, let's examine different ways to see the Wolves play. If League Pass gets a usable option, lets discuss it! If a kid is in the stands streaming Ustream from his smartphone, lets discuss it! Now get out there and support the Wolves! Go TWolves!
