How much better can Kevin Love's stats get?

Pondering about Kevin Love's two preseason games, his weight loss and continued excellence in maintaining game ready shape, is it possible that Kevin Love got even better? A few points after the jump...

Call me crazy, but is it possible for him to average even more rebounds than he did last year? I for one, thought it would be nearly impossible to duplicate that kind of effort for another season, albeit in a condensed season following the lockout. But somehow, Love managed to grab 31 rebounds in 54 minutes... For all the talk about it being a preseason game, I see your argument, and the competition will get much tougher in the regular season, but when you look at how many minutes he played, I think 16 rebounds isn't out of the question.

On the other hand, Adelman has Rubio and JJ running the show which I believe is the greatest outcome for Love.

I've maintained and entertained the thought for a couple of years now; that a Love-Rubio PnR/PnP will rank among some of the elite PnR/PnP duos in the current NBA. While it's still early to state anything about Rubio ever becoming a good shooter, Love is a great 3-point shooter, making him extremely deadly.

I for one, don't see how he isn't a max player for this team.

I'd like to know what all of Hoopus thinks...

I'm predicting 20 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists, .5 blocks average..

Points to keep in mind..

1) How much of an effect will the condensed season have on his rebounding numbers. Will they fade some games? Or will they maintain the same amount throughout the course of the year because every team is going to be tired and every team is going to miss a lot of shots and the quality of play will go down.

2) With Rubio and Barea likely delivering most of his passes, and Love getting rebounds off the offensive glass, will he shoot over 55% this year?

3) If he can average those kinds of numbers in this condensed season, what kind of numbers would he average in the regular season afterwards?

A nickel for your thoughts?
