twolfcast - a new podcast about the Timberwolves
I (losDelFuego) am now the co-host of a new podcast about the Wolves, along with longtime-CH-reader (but new CH member) FormerSlamDunkChampion.
In this first episode, we recap the off-season, gripe about the lockout, talk trash about former coaches, and get super-excited for the '11-'12 season.
Listen if you'd like, comment if you want, send us emails if you choose, disagree with us if you must.

one of you sounds like Ron Howard. I love it.
Enjoyed the show!
Exciting and adequate point guard play.
Too hot to handle, too cold to hold
They're called the Ghostbusters and they're in control
thanks for listening
i had you in mind when i remembered to post this as a FanShot instead of a FanPost.
...I've been drinking...

I agree that Kurt Rambis, in the final analysis, is
dickish

I'd even go as far as to call him
dickful

I have waited forever for a podcast about the t-wolves to come around. I’ll give it a listen tonight.
The unzipping of the hoodie
And the initial reaction could have gone in a very strange way.
Love the analysis on avoiding
A Bickerstaff coaching dynasty. Tht was a tragidy and it never even happened.

Thank you for moving that pink pony down the page...
Was giving me nightmares…
And the podcast was good, too.

Wow... just wow...
The podcast reminded us of Rashad and Bracy Wright. Ugh. Time for this new-found excitement to turn into something. Ellis and we’re off to the races.
Still have my Foye jersey. Hey- at least she TRIED! :--)
Great podcast,
though I’ll take exception to the idea that the Wolves have been experimenting with coaches for the last five or so years. Every coach the Wolves have hired has been an experiment. Musselman was the closest to a sure thing we’ve ever had, and he wasn’t a known commodity. Flip turned out well, but he was a gamble. Casey shouldn’t have been fired, but he was no sure thing.
(My apologies if you address this afterward. I paused to hit the head.)

My favorite coaching experiment:
Jimmy Rodgers. His wiki page reads: “He coached the Boston Celtics for two seasons, and the Minnesota Timberwolves for nearly a season and a half.” It’s possible he wrote that himself, but I forgive him because he marshalled men like Doug West, Pooh Richardson, and Thurl Bailey into battle…And because I was young and considered it a moral victory if we weren’t losing by more than 10 points entering the 4th quarter. Plus, it’s not his fault lady lottery luck gave us Laettner.

Rodgers actually had some subtantive players,
though the focus was on the stars (and I’m trying really hard to not use a derogatory name). Yeah, Laettner was a kick in the stones.
I was old enough to have appreciated Laettner’s NCAA performance, and that was enough to make me want Laettner to be a great wolf; Whoops.
Damn, this team has had terrible luck.

Should be obvious where that was supposed to go.

we're going to try to maintain a weekly schedule
we’ll see how it progresses, but the purpose is not to provide a post-game wrap for each game — this blog is already doing and excellent job on that.
thanks for listening!

Enjoyed it
Good stuff, I’ll definitely give it another shot.
Kudos for having the stones to do this...
I’m half way through the hour and enjoying it a bunch! It’s nice to hear two committed Wolves fans share their thoughts in this kind of format, it improves my drive to work and back considerably. You guys have been committed correct? Any true wolves fan is a candidate for the loony bin, but one who posts online or shares their thoughts on a podcast is certifiable….

Love this!
Super good! I was amazed to find that you guys are not annoying! I do love podcasts but I’d say about 80% of new ones I find have hosts that are supremely irritating! You guys rock! Make some more soon! Why do I keep using exclamation marks!
Y. These guys are a good combo.
And I fashion myself as a bit of a sports talk radio expert.

Shall check it out tonight
I think this is the first time in history one man managed to destroy an entire city by himself. Even the Enola Gay had a flight crew.
Nice work, I enjoyed it.
Be even better when there’s actual basketball to discuss.

more please
You really need to crack one of these out a week. If you just sort of do them whenever, then people don’t know when to go back and listen. You can put it off and procrastinate and slowly the podcast just dies. Seen it happen a million times. If you set a schedule and hit it once a week then you can develop an audience.
Hey wolver
That’s the plan. We’re planning to record on Sundays and release new episodes on Mondays.
