Whatever Happened to Will Avery?
Well, as my name might imply, I have been a Nuggets fan a majority of my life but I recently moved to Minnesota a couple of years ago and have taken an interest in the Timberwolves. Even when I wasn't a Timberwolves "fan" per se, I still followed the team to a certain extent. I preclude my question with this description so that no one assumes I'm trolling. The Nuggets have had their share of bad picks for sure as have most teams. I was hoping this site could enlighten me a little bit on whatever happened to Will Avery?? He was a lottery pick (if memory serves) and came in with other Blue Devils like Elton Brand and Corey Maggette, both of whom have managed to stay in the L. But Avery was in and out within a matter of years. Was it an injury, just an overall lack of skill? Any elaboration would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and go wolves.

General lack of skill I guess
He never got more than 10 minutes a game, but in that time his FG percentage was pretty consistently in the .300s. Somebody at the time may have rationalized that he didn’t get a fair opportunity in the NBA, but he also hasn’t made a relevant impact in Europe either (he went there after his 3 years with the Wolves at age 23) so that argument would be moot. I’m not sure if he had a career altering injury in Europe, but he never had any Jay Williams-type of injury here. He was just not good at basketball.
Ya
It was awhile back I know who your talking about just never really showed enought skill.
Wolves fan in Ohio
Just wasn't that good.
Which sucked cause there was some good players taken after him. But hey thats McHale for ya.
He never showed any pulse or skill
Looking at him, it was hard to imagine he ever amounted to anything collegiately too.
