Friday Feel Good Facts (2/18)

Feel-good-friday_medium

I love a good challenge (and when I say that, it means, "I don't like challenges, and I am kind of lazy"), so I look forward to trying to find some positive real news on the Wolves right now. Feel free to post your objective stats, stories, interviews, and notes below.

Let us get it popping with:

1. Kevin Love's appearance in Sunday's All Star game. One independent wag calls Love "The Best Player in the League Hands Down" (certainly much to argue about the formula used to compile the list, but the names at the bottom tend to give it a bit more credibility).

2. Speaking of the names at the bottom of that list, in the month of February Wayne Ellington is outproducing all of the Timberwolves draft picks from the last two years--combined. WEllington has averaged 13 points in 26 minutes, to go along with shooting 41% FG, 44% from the arc, and 12 of 13 from the line (92%). Those made free throws are especially remarkable considering that they came during 185 minutes of play, and it took the last 479 minutes for fellow SG Wes Johnson made the same number of free throws, over January AND February. Perhaps Ellington's ability to get to the line more often than Wes can be explained by the fact that Ellington is four months younger.

3. Speaking of elderly rookie Wes Johnson, he's playing in tonight's Rookie/Sophomore game "T-Mobile NBA Rookie Challenge," on which you can and certainly should place a wager.

4. Finally, a fact about the Wolves that feels very, very good is that you can purchase this toaster:

Now every morning you can be reminded of the excellence that is Minnesota Timberwolves basketball, while you spread your vegemite on your bagel and wait for the Postum to finish brewing.

Okay, what else y'all got?
