Grade the Trade - Memphis Recap

So the votes are in...

To review, Wolves fans and Griz fans were asked to grade the following trade for their respective teams:

To Minnesota:

G OJ Mayo

C Hasheem Thabeet

To Memphis:

PG Jonny Flynn

SF Wes Johnson

C  Pekovic or Koufos (Memphis pick)

And this trade was a winner for both fan bases.  On Canis Hoopus, 215 respondents gave this trade a favorable rating  of 56% to 21% and Griz fans over at Straight outta Vancouver supported the trade 69%-16%  (only 24 respondents over there...).  Besides liking the trade more, Griz fans were far more enthusiastic about the trade with 41% giving the trade an A - whereas most Wolves fans fell in the B to B+ range.

What this tells me is that the Wolves need not include Pek or Koufos (money still works without them) to get this trade done.  However, I would still pay the price simply from a team balance standpoint.  After you give Love his starting minutes, there are only 50 minutes left for the other bigs.  I think that is enough time for three players, but not four - and I think all of these players desperately need to play to develop their games.  So give me a rotation of Darko, Tolliver and Thabeet and let Pek go to Memphis and get minutes as Z-Bo's understudy.

Congrats to both fan bases for putting forth a trade that works for everyone.  Now let's see if Kahn and Wallace can work something out in the next few days...
