Shopping list from Hollinger
John Hollinger on "under the radar" players who might be available and may be worth a flyer, in the vein of Darko last year. You know--not transformative moves, surgical ones. Local fave Anthony Randolph is the top of the list and Hollinger notes the Wolves' interest. Here's a list of the players with a couple of quotes for those without Insider.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/columns/story?columnist=hollinger_john&page=PERDiem-110217
"On defensive value alone, he should be in somebody's plans. That's why the Knicks are likely to get a first-rounder for him even though he's so far down their bench that he's hidden by Eddy Curry's shadow."
Hey, wasn't he ours once? Hollingers notes that teams don't typically give up first round picks this soon, but that Babbitt may be available with Portland's post-draft management change.
Ian Mahinmi and Dominique Jones, Mavericks
Statistical note on Teague that may be relevant to a certain T-Wolf PG:
"However, a mammoth turnover rate has been his biggest problem, and sometimes players of that ilk improve rapidly once they start figuring things out -- high-turnover young players in general have brighter futures than the low-turnover ones with similar overall productivity."

joking aside
Unless we can do a Flynn/Bayless swap like what was suggested about a month ago, I really see no reason to trade Flynn for scraps where he is a lot more valuable to us as a Timber wolf with the potential to improve then he would be to any other team
I say keep the kid and either run with him or be run out of town with him
I don't see a single name on that list that I like
Everything in the computer need my face on it. Mega Gigabytes, son!
Sessions?

Because he did so well last year?

I'm so out on Courtney Lee
Everyone overrates him because he had that high profile gig with a contender in Orlando. But if he were really all that, why wouldn’t they keep him? They instead chose to spend a ton of money on a decaying Vince Carter. Next year, Lee starts 66 games for the rebuilding New Jersey Nets. One season is all it takes, and they ship him to Houston. Wouldn’t a rebuilding team want to hold onto a 24 year old starting shooting guard? Now he’s in Houston, and he isn’t a part of the long term plan.
How does anyone still think this guy has potential?
If it wasn't for Jordan Farmar and that guy Kevin Love, I would've killed somebody!
and...
this should be a fanshot rather than a fanpost. Save the fanposts for original content. But, as always, thanks for sharing.

Absolutely want Randolph.
Would happily take a low cost flyer on Courtney Lee and maybe Ian Mahinmi.
Indeed
It would be a good move by Kahn. Also, Teague is on my list of guards the Wolves should be looking at. I’ll put it up in the next day or so. Here they are in case any more “who should they get” posts beat me to the punch:
- curry
- kevin martin
- ellis
- nick young
- rodrigue beaubois
- devin harris
- cdr
- avery bradley
- teague
That's Mr. Downer to you.

fwiw
kahn’s other good move right now would be to axe rambis. i’ve said it for a month or so, but he gets major points from me for getting rid of rambis. if that happens, i’ll start to believe that he’s learning on the job.
That's Mr. Downer to you.

OTJ Training
wasn’t part of the position description…
Whenever I'm about to do something, I think "would an idiot do that?" and if they would, I do not do that thing.
I like 3 players
Randolph Sessions and Teague. Teague because he has those long arms and his 36 minute stats don’t look bad 5.4 assists 2.8 turnovers .511 TS%. 400 pct from 3pt line and 12 points. he has seen only 1240 minutes playing time in his career and is just 22. Sessions has done better everywhere than here so maybe its the coaching but he seems better to me than either Flynn or Bassy. Randolph is interesting if he could play some 3 or get stronger and back up the 5. Also, we have had lots of injuries and deeper is better.
i would put him at the 5
He is 6’11 and he has a good wingspan. Plus he would get more minutes than sitting behind love and beasley
