Does An Admitted Stat Stuffer Who Plays on a Crappy Team Deserve to be an AllStar?
In a move that not only defied logic, but also could be considered as a travesty of justice, NBA Commissioner David Stern selected over a field of more qualified and deserving candidates, Kevin Love of the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves to replace the injured Yao Ming in this year's Western All Star Squad. Kevin Love is a stat whore who cares about getting his pecious double-doubles before winning. He’s a terrible defender and despite his impressive stats (21.1 ppg and 15.5 rpg) plays on the second worse team in the league.

Clever plan to get hits to your blog.
But I think I’ll pass. Anytime the phrase, “travesty of justice” is used to describe anything All-Star related, I think I’ve heard enough.

no kidding
at the end of the day, spam is spam and i encourage you to engage the site to build up equity and a readership, but if this happens again, you get banned. spam is spam.

And since I regrettably took the bait to his site
I’d like to inform everyone here that the link in no way, shape or form shows how…
his stats do not affect the fortunes of the Timberwolves
zzz
I have growing concerns that being a fan of this team is making me more of a hipster than I ever intended to be.
I clicked on the link as well.
I feel dirty. Not because of anything on his site, but because I thought he might have been linking to some sort of actual analysis. Considering that I had done such an analysis and posted it here on CH, I was hoping to find someone had found a different way of looking at the data from this season so I might be able to engage in some form of discourse about the worth of Love’s production. Alas, I was deceived.

Troll alert
But I hadn’t seen the youtube video of Rambis telling Love, so thanks.
So I actually went to your site
And, although, it is hard to believe your design was worse than your content.

I don't want to give him the page click
but you’re making it tempting.

If this was a travesty of justice, I'd hate to be the one to tell you about Plessy v. Ferguson

Gosh we have a knowledgeable set of posters on this site.

The most amusing part of the Plessy v. Ferguson decision,
to me at least, is the opinion written by the one dissenting Justice. Basically, the dissenter (the one guy who on the face of things appeared to decide that separate couldn’t be equal) states that it doesn’t matter if you’re black or white as long as you’re not yellow, because those of Asian descent are fundamentally different than those of African or European descent. This was the opinion of the guy that seemed to be the most enlightened of them!
It’s amazing how long it took us to get to where we are now – not that we’re at a point yet where all men really are treated as equals, but we’re fairly close.

It's no line of steady progress, either.

You are entitled to your opinion, as are we....
When normal people don’t like something, they don’t blog about it hoping for attention for other bloggers. Be mature about this, it’s come and gone.
Yes because he is white and marketable.
I thought we’d been through all this before.
I don't understand how stuff like this gets rec'd enough to get to the recommended
section. Who is rec’ing this stuff?

A question I have also had.
I guess there are just more than enough “me too” trolls to amplify asinine stuff on the internet. Go read the comments section on any newspaper’s site.

Apparently, yes!
Only five more shopping days until the Trading Deadline!
The answer is no
which is why Lamarcus Aldridge didn’t make the team.

What is with this crap lately?
I guess we’ve hit the big leagues finally. All the creeps and haters are crawling out of the woodwork to try to tarnish our glory.

Just another pissy Portland fan made about LMA.
I’ve been to your state and you guys piss about everything. It rains non stop and this feeds into your hateful negativity. K-Love is putting up numbers that haven’t been seen in a long long time. LMA is a good player on a winning team those come a dime a dozen in the NBA right now. But there is only one K-Love.
How the hell did this become a recomended fan post? I’ve got more hits on some of my posts and they don’t become recomended. WFT?
I know I used to feel special to get a post rec'd

fuck this crap
trolls come here because even when they get ignored, they get more comments than if they’d posted to their team’s SB Nation blog.

Just ignore this guy.
He trolls all the time at BSotS. He’s just a depressed, jealous Raptors fan.
If you don’t feel like ignoring him though, feel free to come up with new and clever ways to make fun of him.

This sounds like trolling.
So I’m going to feed the troll. If Blake Griffin who is also on a crappy team is an All Star then yes Kevin Love should have been an All Star. And if Blake Griffin wasn’t and Tim Duncan was then yes Kevin Love should have been an All Star. Tim Duncan is not as good as he used to be.
The All Star Game should not be about the team but the player. This isn’t the super bowl.
