Can Gerald Wallace play shooting guard? I'd certainly be glad to have him if this report is true and might actually make sense with Curry since according to league rules (and please correct me if I'm wrong, just picking this up from what I've heard) state that Curry can't be packaged with another player, so his expiring plus a pick would be exactly what this article claims is required to pick up Wallace. This leaves a lineup of... Ridnour/Telfair/Flynn Wallace/Webster/ Beasley/Wes/Wallace Love/AR/Tolliver Darko/Pek/AR With Rubio distributing, we have a TALL lineup with Wallace providing the slashing, Beasley the jump shooting, Love (rebounding), and then Darko/AR depending on size of the competition's center. We'd also be near the cap (and over once Beas/Love get extensions) and really need to believe that is a championship level team...which is probably isn't, but I'd really like to acquire some proven basketball talent. On the flip side, with a lockout, we may not have to pay wallace much next year and then he'd be an expiring...so not a terrible risk, we just have to be good enough to do 2 things... 1.)
