Darko-Beasley for Gasol-Fisher and ______________
For the Lakers, Kobe needs help on offense. Beasley can provide that option. He can score from anywhere.
Darko provides interior defense. Pau and Kobe butt heads over how the offense should be run. Pau wants
more touches; he's frustrated with Kobe. MN can give him all the touches he needs, plus he and Kevin can
alternate at the 4/5 depending on match-ups.
For the Wolves, they get offense in the middle, plus help. Gasol gets his fair share of points and rebounds, plus
he is a good passer. He can also be an incentive for Rubio to come over. I would expect a throw-in or two to
accompany him; maybe Derek Fisher, who can run the offense in crunch time, plus another player to be named.
Lakers reduce their payroll, we unload Darko - Darko would be fine for them if they restrict him to defense and
easy baskets. Beasley will be the prize for them. MN get experience in the middle, plus whatever we think we
can get to go with him.
In this swap, everyone understands and runs the Triangle, so it's a fit in talent and offensive philosophy.
