The Wolves should look at. None of these players will single handedly turn a franchise around, but I believe for the right price we could acquire all of them
Kendrick Perkins: he would be my absolute first choice, it might be kind of unlikely since teams like the Heat, Celtics, and Thunder will all probably have interest in a top 3 defensive post player. But will they all be able to offer him the same kind of money the Wolves could? Would he take 12+ million a year with the Wolves or settle for 6/7 with a winning team? If we're gonna roll with Love we're gonna need an inside player like him.
according to the Boston Herald:
According to two league sources, Perkins has already turned down a Celtics offer that is bound by the CBA’s current restrictions — a contract extension worth slightly less than $30 million over four years, which reflects the currently mandated contract limits of a 20-percent increase and a four-year maximum. Perkins, represented by agent Arn Tellem, has opted to wait until he is an unrestricted free agent, when even in an unpredictable market he has a chance of commanding far more
Aaron Afflalo: I think he'd be an ideal 6th man or 5th starter on this team, and excellent defensive player with a sweet jumper. If we could upgrade the Martell Webster/Corey Brewer position with Afflalo that would really help.
Rodney Stucky: This depends on how the draft pans out, but I believe we still need a 2 guard that can handle the rock. Stucky is still the kind of player that isn't quite sure what his fit is in the NBA. It seems like he is a bigger Randy Foye, but considering Foye's size was probably the biggest reason he never was able to capitalize on his ability it might not be a bad thing to just have a 6-5 version of him. He is a restricted free-agent, but if we where to over pay the Pistons might not want to match the offer because they have a lot of money tied into Ben Gordon already.
Grant Hill/Antonio Mcdyees: I'd Love to get a savvy veteran like one of these guys just to up the classiness of our team
thoughts? I'd legitimately say all three are gettable and would really all help us
