The Wolves finally "win" a lottery
Hooray! And it comes on the year after they win the Darko lottery! I mean, the system is broken.

Resisting urge to post everything The Onion News Network has ever done...
(My first reaction was that the Wolves had made some sort of deal in which Kwame was a moving part. Whew!)

the other will be burdened with human garbage Kwame Brown."
Hilarious! hahaha I just choked on my coffee!

I loved that line too.

absolutely hilarious.
Amazing how the popularity of satire has spawned such great production values for a spoof.
Who put this together? The Onion?
I love it.

Start to finish, this is just loaded with great one liners.
I liked the "never be washed clean" line.

The initial broadcast
led off with a great bit on Bosh, LBJ, and Wade inventing their own new rules for the NBA, and the league going right along with it.
Other NBA stuff here . . .
Kevin Love is not the problem.
Among my faves:
Tonight’s Dome counted UP the tallest players in NBA history, according to height. But who cares about numbers and measurements? OSN want to know who YOU think the tallest player in the NBA is.
Manute Bol – 7’7", but should the fact that he’s dead count against him?
Charles Oakley – Only 6’9", but a very solid player in his time
Mugsy Bogues – You can’t measure heart in inches and feet
Michael Jordan – Best player of all time, tall
Slavko Vranes – Only played three minutes in NBA, could have easily exceeded 7’5" if given time to develop

No one can come in the clubhouse
Haha. Should say “especially not Delonte!”
Interviewer: Can you understand why teams value potential ahead of experience and accomplishment in the draft? Wes Johnson: "Yeah. I understand. It’s the youngness of everything – older guys like young women, so it’s the same way."
Hate to say it
But I might prefer Kwame to Darko. Kwame is a slightly better rebounder, shoots better from the field and the line, and doesn’t turn the ball over like it is going out of style.

I remember joking about this when Brown had a decent game against Darko earlier this year
Turns out, they’re pretty similar:

I was going to say
That Kwame doesn’t fit the T-Wolves profile. After all, he was drafted first and not second. But then, the names Joe Smith and Michael Olowokandi popped into my head.
They say it's always darkest just before dawn and man, was it dark last year. Come to think of it, I'm not needing my sunglasses this year, either.

Kwame's basically willing to be a "garbage man" big.
He doesn’t require all the touches.

The best thing about Kwame v. Darko
Is that we wouldn’t expect Kwame to be anything he isn’t, or do anything he isn’t capable of doing well.

Seeing Love play so well at C this year
I’m starting to wonder whether it would make more sense to have a token starting C with the following job description:
- Play the first 5 – 8 mins of each half vs. the opponents 7 footer. Absorb some of the physical punishment, play D, rebound.
- Play longer minutes vs. the rare team with a legit, high minute C (ORL, LAL, etc.)
Love seems to do quite well during the rest of the game at C against many teams. Minimizes his foot speed issues, and he can rebound vs. taller guys. Tolliver at PF is a better defensive choice because he is pretty tough + mobile.

Yep
And they’re afraid that if they made him a low usage, 20 mpg defensive guy, he’d shut down…which is exactly what happened in Memphis. It will be interesting to see how they work this one out.

If I remember correctly..
Didn’t Kahn allude to something in his contract that can void the whole deal if both sides just want to end it? That could come in handy sometime in next 18 months or so.
If so, how much of that money would still be on the Wolves' cap?
"Those things about which we cannot theorize, we must narrate." – Umberto Eco
All of the guaranteed money on the deal would remain on the cap for the designated years.
