Sitting the Stars, it's What the T-Wolves Do

Every year i get excited for the season to start only to see that excitement gradually morph into disappointment as the season hits its stride, only to have that turn into hope as the Draft approaches. So you can imagine my happiness to see that Kevin Love won't be playing these next few games. The more we lose, the more likely we'll get the #1 pick, the more likely we won't stink in the future.

A little sacrifice now results in gratification later. I like it

As i was thinking about this, i came to realize that this is standard procedure for the Wolves. I remember Kevin Garnett getting a mysterious sprained ankle for the final 10 games of the season. Am i the only one who doesn't realize that the Wolves are purposely keeping players out of the lineup at the end of the year? Is this commonly known? And how does K-Love feel about not playing for 10 games? That's a substantial part of a season. I'm sure he hates it.

I'd love to hear more about this practice of keeping players at the end of the season.
