Off season workouts: open question about focus points

The season is over. With the result that we had we can only hope our players are already working their ass of trying to improve for next season.

Now, my question is this: when a given player has clear strengths and weaknesses, do you focus more on trying to improve the weaknesses or do you focus on improving the strengths.

Put more into context:

Darko Millicic, decent but not stellar defense, shoddy post play. Do you focus on trying to become a stellar defender that really shines in that skill or do you try to improve the post play to be no long an annoying problem.

Michael Beasley is the other way around, do you work on defensive footwork to be able to guard SF better or do you focus on becoming an elite high-flying finisher around the rim.

Off course, the only good answer is both .. these guys train so much that you can't do the same thing all day long, you have to have some diversification anyway ... but hypothetically speaking, if you had to pick one..

Got some thought on it myself but would like to see some of your thoughts first..
What say you!?
