There has been a lot of discussion about acquiring Evan Turner and I’m a bit puzzled as to all the hype. IMO Wes has a slight edge over Turner looking at the numbers.
Minutes: Wes played 3.2 more minutes per game, not enough to make too much difference.
Field Goals: Wes shot 3.4/8.6 @ 39.7%. Turner shot 2.9/6.8 @ 42.5%. Evan takes the edge here, but barely.
3pt: Wes was far better at the 3, 3.8% better. Turner only attempted .6 threes a game though.
FT: meh. Wes sucked for a 2/3 at getting to this line at 1.2 a game, Evan got there a little better at 1.6 in less time but not really that great.
Boards: Turner outrebounded Johnons by .9 per game, especially on the offensive end with 1 more per game than Wes.
Assists: Even
Turnovers: Even
Steals: Even
Blocks: Wes by .5 per
Points per Game: Wes by 1.8
