With The 20th Pick In The 2011 NBA Draft...(you left him out)

The Minnesota Timbervolves Select . . . Marshon Brooks, SG Providence.

Honestly Brooks was a little off my radar all year, but once I started digging I got to admit, i'm really liking this kid. Yes, he is a senior and 22 years old, but hey, maybe that means he's NBA ready! He did play for a smaller college, and his assist rate wasn't the best, but I think he might just fit in with our crew of misfits...

At 6' 5" he measured an outstanding wingspan of 7' 1"! That is only 1/8th of an inch under the average wingspan of PF's at the combine, alsop recorded a 8' 5" standing reach, so he's got the length. He played PG growing up and is a very solid ball handler at the 2. He has a knack for getting to and finishing at the hoop and has a smooth jumper. Some of his turn-arounds remind me a bit of Kobe. I think he would be a pretty good pairing for Rubio, though he may not be the best 3-point shot, we have Love to counteract that.

And lets not all forget that game against Notre Dame. Yeah, the one Brooks went off for 52 points in. Which is the most points scored in the Big East, in Big East history! I try not to put too much weight on big games like that, most anyone can luck into one of those, but Brooks was just HOT! Watch the PTI guys give it the rundown, followed by every shot he made from that game.

Hope y'all enjoy the article. Its 3 am, i can't sleep and this is the result, so I apologize for any wrongdoings...
