The alleged trade would involve three teams -- the Cavaliers, Pistons, and beloved Timberwolves -- and an unreported amount of players. The one recognizable name mentioned is Richard Hamilton, but I'm not sure what good he'd be for either team (Cavaliers or Timberwolves). Nevertheless, more than likely, the Cavaliers would be the ones taking on the bad contract seeing as how they're getting the #2 pick in the trade. Plus, it was rumored they tried to get Hamilton and the Pistons unprotected pick at the trade deadline for the TPE.
In terms of the Timberwolves, I'm guessing a majority of you will bash Kahn for it, but in my opinion, this is a good trade for the Wolves as well. At the #2, it's basically Williams or Kanter. Anyone else and the media will bash the Wolves worse than ever before. By making the trade, they still leave open the possibility of Kanter while also leaving guys like Knight and Burks in play to shore up the shooting guard position.
Would love to get your opinion on it, guys!
