Would Josh Smith work?

It has been widely known that Josh Smith will be available this offseason... I am wondering what the feeling around here is about him. I think he's a defensive big man that would help us greatly, especially with Ricky running the point. We could be a very athletic team, and with Ricky Rubio and Josh Smith added to our squad, I think we could be a greatly improved defensive team, along with adding some veteran leadership and not taking anything away from our offense....

What I propose is trading the #20 pick, Nikola Pekovic, Jonny Flynn, and Anthony Randolph for Josh Smith and Jeff Teague (if needed)... I think this gives them some financial relief, along with a first round pick this year and a few young pieces that could work well with Joe Johnson and Al Horford...

We would then have a line-up as follows(assuming we take Williams at #2):

PG: Ricky Rubio, Luke Ridnour

SG: Wes Johnson, Martell Webster

SF: Michael Beasley, Derrick Williams

PF: Josh Smith, Anthony Tolliver

C: Kevin Love, Darko Milicic

I would be comfortable with any of the above players playing 20 minutes a game, and the 5 starters would all have the potential to grow together with the right coach... I think the athleticism of Johnson, Beasley, Smith, and Williams, along with Rubio's passing and Kevin Love's all-around game would make this team compete for 35-42 wins next year, with the right coach (if we keep Rambis we're looking at 24-28)... Does this sound like a logical option for us? I know there has been some hesitation to move Kevin Love to C, but with Smith next to him (2+ BPG), it may make the transition easier??? Williams, the BPA would be in the regular rotation and probably get 25 MPG... This is just a thought I had this afternoon... Am I crazy to think this may work, or is this an actual option that we should pursue?
