... Until the draft! I love to speculate and
waste spend most of my time thinking of how to improve the Wolves (As if my ideas matter). But, no one will be completely right on how this offseason goes down. It is an important offseason and we need to show significant improvement to convince our studs like Love, Beas, Rubio, to stay long term. In my opinion there are a few things that need to be addressed this summer:
SG, C, 1st round pick in 2012, and cutting the fat (bye bye Flynn, Darko maybe Pek, Ellington etc.)
With a lot of assets it shouldn't be too difficult for Kahn to atleast start the process of completing these goals. This brings me to the draft. So many different scenarios and opinions that every hour I change my mind on what I think the Wolves should do. Here are what I see are the options with the #2 pick:
- Keep Williams
- Keep Kanter
- Trade Down (another lottery pick and a vet)
-Trade for Vet
My darkhorse, and dream is that CLE takes Williams at 1 and we take Irving and have any team need a PG place bids for him. And hopefully land a trade like Irving, Wes, 20, for Gordon, Jordan, and maybe they'd throw in a 2012 pick. (I Know but let me dream)
It's hard to decide what I would do without know what teams are offering for the 2. You can't just give Williams away he's too talented to not net atleast one huge impact player.
So of the above options which would you guys do? I say take Williams and only trade him for a good deal. Otherwise keep him and see if he looks like a star, and worry about moves or innovative lineups later.
