The Wolves still seem to be really high on Wes Johnson

I am curious, because I feel like the majority (even if it's 51 %) of the CH community is down on him. And I think advanced stats have painted a not so favorable picture of Wes' 23 year old rookie campaign.

Myself, I am kind of in the middle on Wes Johnson, he showed some really good flashes of the player he could be, but didn't do it even close to enough to call him a sure thing to bet on in my book. I think he has potential to be a very solid defensive player, and when he is looking for his shot can be an offensive weapon as well, but not a top option. He obviously needs to move to small forward, I think that would solve quite a bit of problems both offensively and defensively.

But it seems as though, if there were to be a 3rd untouchable asset in the Wolves plans beside Love and Rubio it would be Wes.

Why do you think the Wolves are so high on him? Their eye for drafting players can be questioned, however it's not like they are trying to blindly hang on to the J-Fly experience. They have cut bait with Flynn pretty fast realizing he was a mistake, and they haven't gone that route with Johnson yet.

Also, what do you make of Wes? Is he a bust? Could be a potential NBA starter like you would hope for out of the no.2 pick?
