I keep hearing about the need for a veteran presence on the Wolves roster. I agree that the need is there and wondered about the age and experience of the current roster. Some interesting things came to light when I sorted the roster by age. Mostly, it created more questions for me, and not many answers.
I didn't realize that Ridnour is 30 with 8 years experience in the league. Somehow most people including me don't think of Luke as that veteran presence the Wolves need. What is it about Luke that eliminates him from that leader position?
Anthony Tolliver is 26 and seems like he could be a respected elder in the locker room in the mode of Sam Mitchell. Why hasn't this happened?
Obviously, Darko is not seen as a leader even though he is 26 and has 8 years in the league.
Martell Webster has 6 years in the league but is on 24. Can a leader be long on experience but young of age? If so, why not Martell?
Even though Love is only 22 soon to be 23, he has 3 years in the league and a reputation as a top player who plays hard. Can he be the leader and if so, why has it not happened yet?
Brad Miller is 35 with 12 years in the league. Some national "experts" believe he would be an excellent leader on the Wolves roster. I wonder how much this current roster would care what Brad Miller says or thinks.
