I was just Browsing Chad Ford's draft chat on espn.com and someone posed this question:
Do you think the TWolves will keep the 2nd pick or trade it?Chad Ford (1:13 PM)
What does everyone think about the 2nd pick for McGee? Would you rather move the 2nd pick for Ellis or McGee? I would be more interested in McGee and he seems like a good player to put next to Love, but I don't know if he's worth the 2nd pick. I would assume the Wolves would pick up the 6th pick too (and hopefully take Biyombo), but maybe not. Ford seems to think that the Wizards really value McGee. If we could dump Darko and pick up and the 6th and Jordan Crawford as part of the deal it would become slightly more enticing. Although these kinds of moves really don't seem like they would result in more wins...just more young talent with "upside".
I suppose Monta might give us a few more W's and Rubio played next to Juan Carlos Navarro (maybe a similar player to Ellis?), but he's an undersized 2 who has reaped the benefits of playing in Golden State's system for his entire career. What's everyone's take on this?
On a different note, It boggles my mind that people are into Kanter so much. In terms of Biyombo vs Kanter it really seems like Biyombo is a safer pick. Kanter hasn't played in any real games for such a long time and people are putting so much stock into old stats from games against inferior talent. At least Biyombo has recently produced kind of meaningful numbers in a very competitive league...I think Kanter might become the next Darko...Darko was taken at number 2...
