I must admit. I wasn't here during the past few years that must have been painful as a Timberwolves fan. I honestly didn't think Minnesota would ever get better, even though drafting Kevin Love was a step in the right direction. But who to surround him with? Well, after working the draft for a couple of years I must say, for the first time since the KG/Spree era, the Wolves have a scary starting 5. Wes Johnson, Ricky Rubio (Finally!), and Kevin Love along with trading for a former second overall pick in Mike Beasley has the Target Center excited for NBA ball to resume. But most exciting is the newest addition to this up and coming TImberwolves team, 2011 lottery pick Derrick Williams out of Arizona.
I have been following this beast all of last year during his fantastic season at Arizona, and I thought that he was the number one overall pick even with Jared Sullinger in the draft. But I was blow away when the Cavs passed up Williams to take Kyrie Irving. Yes, every team needs a solid PG, but I think you should take the best player available. But, thanks to the Cavs, we got the best player in the draft, and I have been loving it ever since.
So I decided to post a video for us here at CH to enjoy what the Cavaliers will be missing: Light at the end of this dark, playoff-less tunnel.
