Former Timberwolves player and former Milwaukee and Portland head coach Terry Porter today is the first candidate to formally interview for the team’s head-coaching job, according to league sources. He also has a track record of functional, high-paced offensive schemes as a coach. However, his overall record is pretty mundane, especially with the Suns who fired him less than a year into the job. Also, his talk about defense has clearly never panned into actual defense.
