Derrick Williams' game in Philippines.

Here is what I saw in Derrick's game in the Philippines vs the Philippines Allstars:

Well the game was a blowout 131-105. What can you expect from short filipinos playing against the NBA greats. McGee, the tallest man in the court, was a beast 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. The Arena was electrifying, and it felt like the NBA team was playing for their home court.

As for Derrick's game, here's a qoute from the reports, "Derrick Williams showed why he's the number 2 NBA draft pick by the Timberwolves. He showed his in between game and his power game to the Filipino fans. He's also a high leaper to say the least."

Williams finished with 19 pts. 3rd best scorer for their squad. Made 3-5 dunks. And 2 three pointer (i think). I wasn't tracking DWill's stats because I was enjoying the game. Lotsa DUNKS & Lotsa ALLEY-OOPS!!! And the players even flashed some streetball moves.

As for Derrick Williams' game:

THE GOOD: DWill actually played decent.. he knows when to be aggressive, take the ball to the hoop, or when to shoot the three.. I also noticed that he also knows when to pass the ball because others have better opportunity scoring. And he had a high FG% through-out the game, even behind the arc.

THE BAD: There were only a few times where he made cuts to the basket. most of the time, he was just standing behind the 3 point line on the side of the court waiting & watching for something to happen. Well maybe it’s because it was a friendly game and there were too much iso happening.

Here are the scores:

SMART (NBA) ALL STARS 131 - McGee 25, Durant 22, Williams 19, Evans 17, Harden 16, Bryant 12, Paul 11, Rose 9, Fisher 0.

PBA ALL-STARS 105 - Santos 25, Cabagnot 9, Pingris 9, Al-Hussaini 8, Mercado 8, David 8, Norwood 7, Reyes 6, Thoss 4, Castro 4, Caguioa 4, Seigle 4, Intal 4, Fonacier 3, Tenorio 2, Yap 0.

Quarters: 30-26, 66-50, 107-78, 131-105
