Basically, the lockout significantly changed this franchise's summer. Here's a non-lockout alternate universe option:
Option 1: The lack of a lockout leads several more college players to declare for the draft (Harrison Barnes, Jared Sullinger, Perry Jones, etc.). This leads to the hypothetical Wolves not only having more options at #2 but also more options to at least consider at #20 (Kawhi Leonard? Chris Singleton?). Unfortunately, the lack of available time leads Rick Adelman to take the season off (let's face it, no lockout means camps open next week and there's no way the Wolves could've waited), so the Wolves turn to Don Nelson or Sam Mitchell as their new coach.
Option 2: The Wolves dragging their feet in firing Rambis and the lockout pushed back the timetable enough that Adelman could take some time and be more receptive to taking the job.
Which option (more talent or better coach) would you prefer? Explain your reasons in the comments.
