Start Wes at the 2
Might as well get some early abuse for this post. But Luke on Joe Johnson doesn’t sound so good.

What about

That's no joke.
This game tonight could be called by Larry the Cable Guy and Bobcat Goldthwait, and it would be better than last night.

The only thing I laughed at
Was their alluding to Chamberlain’s “scoring” record.
Michael Beasley is a Small Forward. Derrick Williams is a Power Forward.
People goin wild here
Not that I’m a huge Niners fan but it pleases me to see them lock up the Saints now.
That game doesn't interest me,

Ellington has been playing very well and those were open shots
yes
Ellington is bad at so many things but a WIDE OPEN three he would have nailed at least one of those.
I'm a Timberwolves fan, therefore I must be a masochist.
cause I see Love and Rubio make a ton of 3s and Beasley miss a ton (especially his usual half court shot)
and it would be interesting if Wes makes them
for me to poop on
He makes them all. Then craps his pants during the game like … like… sh*t I do’t even know because I haven’t seen a 1st grader shoot as bad. K-LOVE THOUGH!

Wow. Just turned on game.
And I see Ridnour dribble around the perimeter, then just hand it to wes in the corner and run away. Leaving Wes no option except to try to dribble out of two guys defending him.
Then I see Ridnour run a fast break and basically throw it out of bounds on some sort of shitty alley-oop attempt. He is terrible.

100% agreed.
I’ve been saying this in other threads, but this season to me is about the Wolves beating mediocre and bad teams. They are going to play close and lose frustratingly almost every time to the good teams. We beat New Orleans and lost to ATL the same way we always lose to good teams.
Just have to beat Sacramento and Detroit now.
It is interesting that the legal
server feeds are inadequate compared to the illegal ones…
2012 the year of Twolves porcelain extraction?
Um
huge quality difference. If LP wasn’t such a total rip off I’d pay for it just to be able to see the players’ faces. The quality of the illegal streams is so low, there’s no reason for them to be “illegal.” They should be sanctioned and the League and broadcasters should get a piece of the ad revenue.
These illegal streams are actually the free market in action, and the broadcasters and League are the monopolists trying to lock up their product because their business model expects poor families to shell out for cable while refusing to allow ad-based models to compete. Prick bastard sumbitches.
Yo ho ho and a FirstRow stream!
Well the quality may be poor,
but I have been able to upgrade my version of Flashplayer everytime I’ve visited, so that’s a positive….
And as poor as the feed may be, it’s certainly no worse than when I tied LP on my iPhone last year.

that shot was not the play that adelman drew up
i am 100% sure he wanted love to give it back to rubio and let him make the decision.
well
love just posted up at the 3pt line so there was no way he was gonna be open for a shot. I think he was to screen rubio and the he would decide to take the shot or pass to love. that would have been a good play because the hawks had to respect them both. there was a pretty good chance they would commit 2 defenders on the ball, wich they did.

At some point Adelman plays Darko in the 4th.
Yesterday was ridicoulous with 29 NOLA points after 3 horrid quarters. Today it was 30. Love at C isn´t an answer. Pek or AR? Nope.
Agree
Darko, for all his faults, is needed on defense.

Yeah, true, but if Pek gets it in his head and stops that 3 sec. nonsense, the guy is a beast down low,
and has a nice layup.
Seven points on four shots.
But three fouls and three turnovers. I like Pek out there, but he was probably a net neutral out there tonight.
Better than past performances, though!

I actually thought he played pretty good tonight
there were at least 3 times, that I noticed, he was cutting down the lane after a pick or caught on a switch and Ridnour just didn’t see it or otherwise didn’t get him the ball. He did bonk on the 3 second calls…but the second of his moving pick/illegal screen fouls should have actually been a foul on Teague who grabbed and pulled him.
The guy is so wide…and has good footwork on the block. I just don’t see how he can’t be productive for 10 mins or so a night (minimum)…as long as he learns to count to three…in english…

KLove wasted the last 2 minutes. The rest of the team wasted a 18 point lead and management wasted at least 2 or 3 roster spots.

Atlanta shot over twice as many free throws
and did not play a noticeably cleaner game. I’m sure a lot of our players could have done better but our players did not lose this game. It was awarded to Atlanta by the refs.
Yo ho ho and a FirstRow stream!
Some truth in that, but we got a few make-ups. I saw a couple of dirty plays - one where Love was poked in the face deliberately.
One extra foul call could have tied the game
and two could have won it. I’m not saying the players are faultless, just that they did their job well enough to win but sometimes it’s hard to win on the road.
Yo ho ho and a FirstRow stream!
That's why they have to maintain that cushion - so the refs can't change the outcome.
We need to be able to hold a lead and build on it.
Saw that too
The refs definitely didnt do us any favors in the 2nd half… and how about the phantom calls on Ricky early on…
Man, Kevin Love is HORRIBLE on defense. This needs to be said. Crappy players continue to crap on him.

That’s all for today, folks. Fun to watch the Wolves when winning and losing, even with the frustration of losing by a couple of possessions.
2 all-star players won’t be always able to bring wins to the Wolves if the rest of the starters and off-the-bench players are not able to shot, to pass, to grab passes for easy dunks, to dribble, to play defense, to shoot 3s,… Except for Love and Ricky, no other starter would start in any other nba team (maybe in the Wizards, but not sure). Translation
Now you see why I stayed in Europe for two extra years. I kept us in this game in spite of the fact that our starting lineup includes Wes Johnson and Darko Milicic – winners of the Kwame Brown Memorial Biggest Bust Of The Decade Award. I would have won this one if everyone not named Kevin Love hadn’t collectively sh@t the bed. You can come watch us if you want, or don’t, I really don’t care at this point. It’s high time we traded some of these butt pirates for even ONE average NBA player. I already miss Martell Webster, and I haven’t even seen the man play. Heck, I miss Brad Miller, and I HAVE seen him play. This team fails harder than Darko’s attempt to grow a beard.

Wait wait wait
Let’s consider how strange this idea is. Somebody is live-tweeting on the Titanic. How does this happen? Has the Titanic been resurrected and sunk yet again, and if so would somebody actually be tweeting it (“wonder if i’ll freeze 2 death b4 I drown lol”)? Was there an insane (yet eerily prescient) person on the original Titanic who thought he was doing something called “tweeting” while the ship was sinking? Even weirder, was there a person who traveled back in time who was stupid enough to travel to a sinking ocean liner in 1912, and who for some crazy reason used wildly anachronistic technology to do something impossible yet absurdly mundane while that ship is sinking? Or maybe it’s a metaphor.
Gary, you didn't kill your brother. Those gorillas did.
I think I have proof of Ivan Johnson charging...

Per Wikipedia:
It is generally accepted that the offensive player should be charged with a charging foul if the defense:
was still, or moving sideways or backwards but not forwards, when contact occurred
took a legal guarding position before the contact, that is, one with both feet on the floor
was hit on the torso (as opposed to the arm or leg)
respected the elements of time and distance
Per NBA.com:
To get into a legal position defending against the dribbler, the defender just needs to get in front of him. On a drive to the basket, the defender must get to his position before the shooter starts his upward shooting motion.
The ref didn't call it a charge
Thus it was not a charge.

as someone who was in attendence tonight, I can attest to the fact that it was an extremely lopsided and rough played game from an officiating stand point….The last ATL possession was a clear charge. I had two guys behind me apologize and give me the charge sign…..anyway, we are really devoid of a third option on offense….
also to note, i was watching warm ups and poor WES was bricking and airballing them there too…
