What NBA Experience Do You Recommend?
Over the past several years few friends and I have been lucky enough to get out of town to see a few NBA games in other cites. We have been to Memphis, Milwaukee, Chicago and last year even made it to Madison Square Garden. We are hoping that we can break away from wives, kids and responsibilities to go big at least every few years.
NYC set us back a bit and this year we are settling for decent tickets to the Wolves/Celts game in March. Maybe next season will bring another trip out of state.
So where have you been and where do you recommend? It doesn't hurt if it is a fun city to party in for a night or two.

I watched a Wolves game in Oakland and had a great time.

Oakland
is probably my first choice just based on the whole bay area thing. OKC intrigues me because it is a fun team and probably road-trip-able.
Come to Portland!
It’s ridiculously loud

I would think any of the one-team towns
Portland, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, Sacramento (others?) where the city has only one pro franchise and puts its collective heart into the team has gotta be pretty special.

Orlando, Memphis
Joe Mauer grounded into double play, second to shortstop to first, ________ out at second
i have seen them in
philadelphia, dc, new jersey, new york, atlanta
none of the game experiences were that great
this was partly due to the fact that we were TERRIBLE
(did make getting seats from scalpers very reasonable though)
obviously, ny, philly, and dc are fun towns to hang out in though
i missed them by a couple of hours in new orleans a couple of years ago- as much as i like the wolves, i can think of better ways to spend time in nola than at a hornets game
new orleans

I would recommend road back-to-backs that aren't far apart....
Examples:
LAC (2/28)-LAL (2/29)
Sac (3/18)-GS (3/19)
Milwaukee
All I really remember is that the arena was surrounded by buildings that were not open at night.
Yo ho ho and a FirstRow stream!
Seattle is a great..oh never mind
But if you’re ever in seattle do go see a sounders game. Nice stadium by the sea, great fans, and an increasingly quality sport
come to think of it-
If you do the bay area, it would probably be cheaper to fly to seattle, and take amtrak’s “starlight express” down to the bay. Most beautiful train ride in the us of a

Thanks for the good ideas.
As much as I love New Orleans I would rather go there for Jazzfest and then my wife would want to come with. Who could blame her really? Jazzfest is the greatest.
Oakland would probably be my first choice and Toronto intrigues me because it is out the country. Lot’s of great choices really.
