Mike Rylander's on Parks and Rec, the NBC sit com, tonight.
That'd be "Wally Junior" or "Fake Wally Szczerbiak" to many of us. Obviously he's been replaced by another arena host – we now have only one, and I predict his stores of sincerity are going to be shot by the All Star break if they aren't already – but Mike's a good guy.
You may also remember his winning the Frito's "Make your own commercial" thing for the Super Bowl a few years ago.

Parks and Rec is an amazing show
not the most “narrative conscious” show on television, but it has my vote for funniest network sitcom
I don't know what an art house is, I don't know what goes on in an art house, I have never been in an art house, and I can't imagine it's any place I ever want to be.

I love
I love Parks and Rec, own all the seasons on DVD and watch it live every week, but Community is my favorite by a little more. P&R is more heartwarming, I guess whereas Community you just never know what you are going to see from week to week

He did a good job...
but I really miss Natalie.
B Wight is pretty good. he has to learn to not scream though. you cant understand him.
"But this one goes to eleven..."
B Wright annoys me
but I’ve never been a fan of the “Get up and SREEEAMMMM!” style of hype up. I’ll yell when I feel like yelling.
He may not have his SAG card
but now hes got his SWAG card.
I'm glad Mike is finding success out in California.
Although, I imagine he’d be having a lot of fun working Wolves games right about now.

They actually have had a "new" Mike at the last two wolves games.
B-Right got a partner. Haven’t heard his name and he’s no Rylander. Always fun to see someone other than Natalie give out the “Revamp Salon / Spa” giftcard.
I don't want to be mean, but Ben is, um, well, he's got some work to do.

I was thisclose to adding, “and TimAllen really loves him,” but I didn’t :).

Yep. Though this season is proving . . .
That the fan experience is 99% about the play on the floor. Seemed like the 1st couple of games B-Wright was pretty much willing to do ANYTHING (and I mean ANYTHING) to get you to buy a 10-game ticket pack. That seems to have been toned down the last few games, which hopefully means that the product on the floor is selling tickets rather than the sales pitch.
I was reallllllllly worried about the ticket sales BS after the open practice...
….where they tried to herd everyone to a ticket rep. They have a rabid fan base of diehards who never left who are just itching to get their friends and family to come to a game. That’s the marketing play, not being annoying about it.

So true (diehards recruiting folks)
I have an email list of a network of people (some of whom I know well, others who are more just acquaintances), who have at times expressed interest in the team. So everytime I get word of a deal (whether from my ticket guy, or otherwise), I send out a message. For the Memphis game (I think it was?) when they were offering good $20 lower level tickets to season ticketholders, I got like 10 people to bite. Kinda cool.
I couldn't agree more...
For the last couple years, every time I’ve gotten a chance to take a survey regarding my experience at Target Center I’ve tried to politely(or not so politely, especially when surveys are sent out immediately after the deadline for a “singular move” to improve the team has ended) explain that my level of enjoyment directly correlates with how well the team is doing. I’ve got all sorts of friends who have turned down free tickets in the past that are actually interested in attending games now that the team isn’t awful.
On a related note, does anyone know why I now have a “Fan Experience Representative” or some shit in addition to my normal ticket rep?
People still watch TV? Mine sits there black, unless there's a movie I haven't seen 1k times.
I’ll turn it on for Wolves/Clippers and Wolves/Lakers, or I might DVR some interesting show
on History Channel or Discovery Channel, or a good movie that they haven’t repeated ad nauseum. But regular TV programming?
Forget it.
Netflix has completely removed commercials for me.
When I see games it’s at a friend’s house, where he pays for the FSN tier. Tonight I have a concert to go to, but ESPN isn’t even among my channels.
Actually when I do see the games, commercials have an almost old timey appeal to them now. Partly that’s the relatively chintzy class of ad the Wolves still bring.
"Opinion ...a confession."
Ya, Netflix is good. I did dump them, though, in protest, and signed up with Amazon
‘til Netflix comes to their senses. I had never watched ’24’, so I started logging that, but got bored after episode 8. I might try it again, but I start thinking when I watch a show that I must have something more pressing to do, or more productive.
Game will be on ESPN 3 tonight.
Finally, I can watch a game online legally.
A warning for firstrow enthusiasts. My friend got a virus from one of the feeds that wiped out his entire harddrive. I believe it happened because he accidently clicked on one of those pop-up links. But still. . . yet another reason to use caution when/about doing illicit things.
