Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Submitted for your approval

It's early in the season but I don't think it's too soon for us to acknowledge the enormous impact Rick Adelman has had on our team. The difference between Rambis and Adelman has been epic, if not world changing. Adelman is the one we have been waiting for. I would suggest that Canis Hoopus update its stylebook to acknowledge the degree of reverence and deference that should be accorded to our beloved coach.

Henceforth, when referring to Coach Adelman pronouns like He, His or Him should be capitalized. Coach Adelman's first name is Rick. Don't wear it out. Adelman or Coach Adelman or The Coach of Coaches should be the preferred usage. References to Coach Adelman's grooming and deportment should be respectful and admiring.

These suggested rules are mostly meant for the posters here, but regular commenters should try to observe these courtesies, especially those of you who genuflect before entering into the CH sanctum commentorum. In any event, when in doubt, consult the F.A.Q.

Is manna a count noun now?

It would seem

that if Rick Adelman is manna, and Darko Milicic is also manna, then surely those are two very different types of manna. Thusly, they cannot be lumped into one “Manna from Heaven” category, and must be two distinct Mannas from Heaven.

I only ever want the Wolves to draft 5th.

Here. Generally published twice a day. Unless its not.

Ha! Thanks.

Well, twice a day would surely be generous…
And there’s, ahem, a dearth of original content there. Replies and links and retweets of funny ish, pretty much my CH M.O.
But, what the hell, I’ll throw it in the sig line now too.

What the hell...

And here. I don’t publish (tweet/retweet) a damn thing. But I follow some interesting people (sportswriters, Twolves, pornstars) and Brett.

Good Coach

I don't know what an art house is, I don't know what goes on in an art house, I have never been in an art house, and I can't imagine it's any place I ever want to be.

I'm pretty sure

someone in his lineage said “man and son mean the same thing.” He is clearly an “Adelson.”

Pek's tattoo is death

I don’t think we want that . . .

We might want to inflict it

on our western conference foes.

Symbolically of course. I hope they all live happy and fulfilling lives off the court.

Speaking of tats

Does anyone else think Kobe’s tat is hideous? WTF is it? A butterfly crown with Vanessa’s name below it, as a homage to when he cheated on her? Now, she gets $75M of his money and 3 mansions to boot. I mean, come on. I know what he did was wrong, but the laws that reward a spouse 1/2 of her hubby’s hard earned cash is a little obscene. Couldn’t she survive with only one mansion, and maybe $50M? Well, it’s his own fault for not GETTING A PRE NUP! Just plain dumb. He was thinking with the wrong head when he hooked up with this senorita.

Since (As I have said before)

I can’t shake the idea that he is British, and am still surprised that the words that come out of his mouth are not spoken in a heavy British accent, may I suggest that we find a Queen and have him knighted. Then I could refer to him as Lord Adelman or Lord Coach Adelman. Those who chose the second option above could then address him as Lord and Saviour. As for the other manna, Count Darko would be better for his Darkness who comes from a land much closer to Transylvania. Of course Pek comes from another land nearer to Transylvania but he can not be a Count because of the Sesame Street connection and the one thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three thing, which gets me to wondering how long it takes to say one thousand one in Montenegrin. But I digress, Hail! Lord Adelman.

Sir Adelman?

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
If that doesn't work, cheat.

A knighthood for Coach Adelman.

I’m on it.

question....

I know its popular to hate Kahn but do you think he deserves any credit for getting Adelman here?

by bringbackbrewer on Jan 20, 2012 9:27 AM CST via Android app reply actions

Sure he does

just like the horse John Wayne rode in on rarely gets enough credit.

Adleman

is the man.

The evidence of rambus’s incompetence grows… How much did our points allowed drop? 15ppg? Incredible.

One thing often overlooked with his Lordship RA

Is he’s assembled an excellent crew of assistant coaches. Really bright minds.

Terry Porter

is one of my favorite NBA players of all time. I was very pleased when he turned up here as an assistant coach.

In order not to sound blasphemous I'll say he is

F***ing amazing so far!!!

But seriously we should come up with a sweet nickname for this guy.
