In case you haven't noticed, there has been quite the chatter about DeMarcus Cousins going on lately. He was recently sent home by the Kings before their New Orleans road game because he doesn't like the direction this team is going in. Coach Paul Westphal even said that if he ever wants to mature as a person and player that "it's going to be somewhere else." This led me to think about whether or not the Wolves should go after the talented, yet troubled center. If we can find the right trade pieces to offer the Kings I'm sure they would be willing to listen. The Maloof brothers might even be desparate enough to the extent we can get him in the same manner the team acquired Michael Beasley from the Miami Heat. Maybe propose a 2nd round pick and a good role player like a Wayne Ellington or Anthony Tolliver? That would be a pittance to Sacramento fans, but it may just be enough to entice the front office to unload on Cousins.
