Calling all California TWolves fans

The game against the Mighty Clippers will be on National TV tonight, on ESPN. Any California fans that lurk on this site gonna hit up Staples Center tonight? Tickets can be had for cheap in the nosebleed section, but I was going to get some tickets right behind the TWolves bench. Cost? $91.00 apiece.

Star-divide

I need to buy 2 of them so I can bring the woman. She's more of a Laker fan, but enjoys watching Ricky and the Wolves play, so she agreed to wear my Love jersey, while I get to don the Rubio jersey I got at the draft party last year. If any Wolves fans are going to the game tonight, let me know. I'll meet you at the bar there and buy you a beer.

That's all I got for now. See you at the game.

I cannot

I live in La Jolla/San Diego and would need to plan ahead quite a bit to make it. I had no idea a great seat could be had for under $100. I will have to consider this more seriously in the future.

Have a great time, we’ll be on the lookout for Wolves fans on TV tonight!

I knew a TWolf fan that went by the handle Boognish

He lived in Idaho, and used to drive to Seattle to watch the wolves play the Sonics, back in the day. I’m not sure how far a drive it was, but it was probably more than 4 hours. I only live 25 miles away from Staples, so it’ll be a breeze for me. Maybe I can go to all 4 games this year.

I did go to San Fransisco last year for a twins game

then visited home and got to see target field for the first time, might have to make the trek to LA for a wolves game. Just always sucks to have to take work and school off and pay the ridiculous gas prices in this state. Havent been to a wolves game since KG was still in uniform and I lived in Minnesota so probably about time.

first-worst-first?

Yeah, and the ticket's only part of the cost

Gas, parking, refreshments…you could buy a DirecTV League Pass for the cost of going to one game.

Sigh

Those tickets weren't available after all. I waited too long to purchase them

So I found some similar ones for 101.00 each. When you add in the tax, service charge of 25.00 each and 15.00 shipping, even though it’s email delivery, it came to $267.00!! So I found 2 tickets in the next section for 57.00 apiece. With the charges, it came to 137.00. That’s an extra 130.00 I can use for beer, hot dogs, and parking. And I’ll probably need every penny of it. L.A. Live Here I come!

Clippers fan here

Did you check Barry’s Tickets? He is a Clippers fan and has his own supply of tickets usually for sale that do not have a service charge attached to them. Usually available either electronic or in their office across the street in the hotel lobby.

Checked out Barry's

But for the section I wanted, he only had them in packages of 4. So I got my Tickets already and I’m happy as a pig in slop.

Stupid Evo4G Shift Phone..

What I meant to say is that I splurged for the first time in my life and got my wife and me tickets in the first row behind the Wolves bench for the Golden State Warriors game (set me back almost 800$). I am going to by myself a Rubio jersey and my wife a Love jersey for the occasion. She almost didn’t let me go because last year at the Warriors-Wolves game I incensed everyone in our section by vociferously cheering for the Wolves, and almost got in a fight because of it. She made me promise I would not do the same, but I told her I could not guarantee that. I think the appeal of sitting next to the players kind of won her over, but she is fearful of how I will behave. Anyways, do you want to meet up before the game or catch a game some other time?

by bsg007 on Jan 20, 2012 6:41 PM CST up reply actions

You mean tonights game?

I plan on being at the Staples center bar before the game.

I haven’t posted here since last year, don’t know if you remember me, wasn’t really a big time contributer. I’m hitting up section 301, $12 a piece. Will be wearing a blue Beasley jersey. I’ll look out for you, which bar, ESPN Zone?

by HeDidWhat? on Jan 20, 2012 4:53 PM CST reply actions

Ummm, it's that one right on the street, part of Staples

to the left of the entrance. Not sure of the name. But I think you need a ticket to the game to get in.

by HeDidWhat? on Jan 20, 2012 4:58 PM CST up reply actions

I plan to leave early and hang out before the game

That bar is part of Staples center. But the ESPN zone bar, where is that? Like across the street? Is it part of LA Live?

I got tickets to the GSW game in the first row behind the Wolves bench and they cost me 350$ each. Do you have connections or am I missing a website I should be going to?

The Tix were't directly behind the bench

They were in the section behind the bench, about 14 rows up. I went to ticketzoom.com and got 2 $100 tickets for $57.00 each. 1st time I been to that site. Seemed to work. But yeah, right behind the bench would definitely cost a pretty penny.

I’m at the top of the 57, and about 5 miles west, up the 210. OK, so it’s about 30 miles. But I’m about 30 miles from everything. There must be a sports bar we could catch a game at sometime. Maybe ESPN Sportszone at Downtown Disney. Or somewhere in Fullerton. That’d be fun. Fullerton is a nice area. College town, right?
