We all loved KG...
He was a great defender, but always shied away from any kind of low post game or last second shot. He just didn’t have that killer instinct. He needed to go to Boston and let Pierce take care of that for him.
KLoove has that instinct. Just saying…

DWill was great tonight. I have never been more confused by a prospect than I am with Derrick. He is absolutely terrible as a ballhandler trying to create his own shot. But give him a Shawn Kemp-like, off the ball role in this offense (with Ricky) and I can see great things.
Think he has to be trade fodder for a true Wing dominator.

And I’m talking about both Rubio and Loves
KG's banker in G7 of Western semis was just a bit bigger...
But, yeah, I’m hearing you
Remember Mike James against the Pistons?
We ended up losing the game, and later replays showed that his heel was slightly out of bounds, but he hit a pretty wild shot to tie the game. I wouldn’t say it was bigger than Love’s shot, but it was pretty memorable.

My newlywed wife now knows the extent of my wolves obsession. I really don’t care about any other sport or any other team. That shot by Love was the relief of years of pent-up frustration. I scared the crap out of her (and our dogs), and then it was like a prolonged catatonic moment in which I could hardly talk or move, just stared at the screen wanting to make sure this was real, that I hadn’t imagined it all.
That’s how a team turns a corner. That game was an announcement.

It doesn't matter to fill out great numbers if you lose badly
I don’t mind Love or Ricky to struggle with scores, assists and rebounds if they can be the players that have the impact factor for winning a game.
After missing everything during the game, Ricky took the responsibility to tie the game with 20 sec. to go.
And Love went for the winning 3 like the real leader he has to be for the team.

I think Adelman
Watch how many of those last seconds he uses each quarter. Gives them the practice they need to be clear-headed toward the end. You can see the improvement over the season, too.
by Spanish_Inquisition on Jan 21, 2012 12:48 AM CST up reply actions
During the season the team has shown tenacity
that’s why we have lost by short margins to big team. We fight until the last second, but never get a reward for it. Today, we put the same balls on the table (“poner los cojones sobre la mesa”) and we got more than a moral victory: A REAL VICTORY!!! (broadcast for the entire country)

Rec'd for Lobos...
Love and Ricky help us win even when they have “bad” games. That is so rare. Ricky’s D tonight was an absolute revelation. I expected him to be a good off the ball defender, but he was absolutely lock down on everyone he guarded. What a player!
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
I was thinking the same thing
slightly better than the Corey Brewer half court shot to tie it in Houston
Second T
Never saw a replay of the “slip.” Was it at all a foul?
by Ray Williams? on Jan 21, 2012 12:45 AM CST up reply actions
What do you mean?
Ricky slipped on the floor and Mo fouled him (I didn’t see what specifically he did)….then started arguing with the refs vociferously, got his second T, and wouldn’t leave.
Rubio forced him to take two crappy shots and then draw a foul while driving to the basket.
Rubio was sliding at the moment and Williams freak out a little bit for the call. Frustration, is called.
I think snp might have called this one...
…page turned?
