Let Us Remember Wolves Fans... 12 Years Ago This Week
Almost 12 years ago to the day, 1/17/00, the greatest buzzer beater in Wolves history took place. And next to Game 7 against Sac, this game is right there at the top for my personal all-time favorites.
In an eerily similar game to last night's thriller in LAC, even right down to the final score, Malik Sealy knocked down the biggest shot of his life and almost collapsed the Target Center itself in the process.
The best part of this game is without a doubt, the unbridled jubilation that immediately proceeds the game winner, starting with Malik collapsing in celebration virtually into the front row followed by an overjoyed KG pouncing directly on top of him.
As we all know, Malik died 4 months later. Please take the two minutes to relive this epic game, recalling the beauty of the blossoming KG, and the moment of pure joy this game created.
Without further ado-

I was too young to really know what was going on but that replay always gives me chills
RIP Malik
90% of the crap I say on here is sarcastic
Some lives are played out like great epic novels
Others are but sweet short stories. And some are so sad, not because the story itself is sad but because it is sadly, unfinished.

I was 12 and watching this in my basement. I remember freaking out like 12 year olds do. Ahh memories. Thanks.

I still remember..
This was my very first basketball game I went to, the reason I started playing, the reason I grew so much love and affection for this round orange ball. I was 9 and my brother just happened to have an extra ticket. So me and 2 of his other buddies went. I was absolutely in love with the passion KG played with. Long story short, Last second shot, Malik Sealy hit the three for the game.
I honestly never ever heard of Malik Sealy, Never thought about the guy even after that shot. Til I heard on the news he past away. But that very moment? when he banked it in? The whole arena went crazy..I saw random strangers hug each other in amazement. That very game, I will never forget..
