That even if Kevin and Ricky were single, they are smart enough to know that they can find a girl who is just as attractive and yet is not a reputation-ruining narcissist. Jim Peterson said the Twolves have to try to put a good team around Love now that he will be here for 3 years. This is idiotic. Every pro sports team is trying to do this, havent the past 3 years of the NBA shown stars will ask for trades regardless of their contract?

Everyone has had their ups and downs in the little I've seen

Darko is blocking shots, but the usual on offense (one nice pass to a cutting rubio).

Rubio has had some wild shots but hit a 3 and had an assist to end the half.

Pek got called for an illegal jump stop (nonesense) but otherwise looked decent on offense.

WE didn’t get defensive rebounds…

Ellington looked mostly good with one wild shot I can think of.

Williams I haven’t noticed too much.

Rubio shooting question

Is there a significant difference in his shooting numbers when the shot comes off the dribble vs off the pass? Not so much for in the lane, but anything 16 ft beyond? It seems to me he does better off the pass when he is set better.

by archie2227 on Jan 25, 2012 8:40 PM CST reply actions

Agreed

He looks a lot more comfortable off the pass.

by they_are_who_we_thought_they_were on Jan 25, 2012 8:42 PM CST up reply actions

To be precise

He appears to look better on slow set shots. Jump shots are wild for him.

by zebano on Jan 25, 2012 8:43 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah

Sometimes he does that thing where he’s dribbling around and no one is on them, then he totally stops, gets his balance sets up and fires a slow motion 3 that goes in

There was an article

1) After we made a shot late 2nd quarter “now they’d think they can hang around with Dallas. They obviously cannot. Dallas is the better team”

2) After Haywood dunked over Rubio “This is what we want from our bigs. They need to accidentally hurt others” then the other said, “not accidentally, just hurt them”

They look great!

The tattoo image on the front is slightly pixelated (if you look closely), but you can’t tell from a step or two away. The letters/numbers on the back are crisp and sharp. I opted for the higher end tee shirt (6% something, instead of 5.5% something and save $3), so it’s thicker/heavier, but of very nice quality (Hanes, I think). I’m eager to see how your’s and CJ’s turn out. I’m thinking the image on a black background might transition better.

What a win!

Ricky is the best quarterback in Minnesota since Tarkenton. The most poised rookie(ish) player to hit the league in years. After tonight’s marathon performance he deserves peeled grapes, happy ending massages and rose petal strewn walkways. The nice thing is the kid won’t expect any of that. He’ll just be looking forward to the next game. Absolutely marvelous BBIQ. Off the charts. He is, along with maybe DWade, Blake, Nash and Rose the player that is the most fun to watch in the game. It’s no surprise that Rubio logged those minutes, even discounting the dearth of guards, RA knows a good thing when he sees it. Speaking of which, kudos to Rick for realizing that this is a young guy he can trust. In an epic instance of understatement the Wolves were extremely fortunate to land him. Just thinking about the Wolves future makes you smile. How long since that was the case? You must respect(!) Kevin but you have to love Rubio.

On my way home tonight

I heard this song (it was on 93x at ten o’clock) and it made me think of Pek. And then I found out he had a great game, and that was even better.
