Love & Ricky´s stats in their last 10 games.
Ricky is eigth among guards in rebounds.
He is third in the league in assists.
He is first in the league in steals.
Kevin Love is fifth in scoring.
Kevin Love is second in rebounds.
Kevin Love is fifth in efficiency.
And they are only 21 and 23 years old. If that´s not a championship fundation I don´t know what it is.
This year this team will develope their game and chemistry, and will find out who are the players they should keep and what are the holes they have to cover. I don´t expect them to reach the playoffs though if they don´t make a good trade before the All Star, because of injuries, lack of time to work together and the level of competition in the West. Next year they should put a few new pieces in place, push hard for playoff position and try to get into the playoffs second round. That will have meant success.

Wow those are some great stats
But I think I want to hold off before deciding if Love is worth a 5 year deal or not %

Maybe Ricky's nickname should be "The Veteran"?

Did you see Ricky telling DWill off because he was not in the right place when Ricky was starting the offense?
He is always calling his teammates´ mistakes, it´s almost funny.
We'll see if this works

Heh.
Pek with the .647 FG%, and he’s shooting 83% from the line. That’s value!

That injury report is insane
The worst part is that playing our remaining players 40+ minutes might just exacerbate the problem.
J.J. Barea 2012-01-19 sprained left ankle is out indefinitely
Michael Beasley 2012-01-07 sprained right foot is out indefinitely
Wesley Johnson 2012-01-25 illness played Wednesday against Dallas
Malcolm Lee 2011-12-30 left knee surgery is expected to miss six weeks
Brad Miller 2011-12-10 left knee surgery is out indefinitely
Luke Ridnour 2012-01-25 sore left knee missed Wednesday’s game against Dallas
Anthony Tolliver 2012-01-25 sore wrist played Wednesday against Dallas
Martell Webster 2011-12-09 back surgery is out indefinitely
Brutal.

Wolves are also currently 4th in the NBA in FTAs and 7th in 3PTAs. Crazy as it seems given this franchise’s history, they may be turning into a key-and-three team.
I can’t figure out how to get that info for the past ten games right now, but I wonder if it would be even higher without Beasley, as he had a very healthy usage rate when he played but lived in the the mid-range game.
In the last 10 games I think Love is third in the league in FTA per game with 9.1, behind Howard, 13.2, and Lebron, 9.9.
He has a much better FT% at 0.824% than those two though.
Un the same last 10 games Ricky is at 5.2 FTA per game, not that bad when you see Derrick Rose at 5.1, Kevin Martin at 5.0, Jennings 3.0, Westbrook at 6.0, Rondo 4.3,… He´s making those at 0.865%, a better number than all those ones.
Sweet. That is another good reason to try to get Derrick and Pek minutes
Both those guys get to the line too.

Funner to watch
Love and Rubio or
Garnett and Marbury?

I love pass-first point guards,
so I’ll say “Rubio and anybody.” I won’t deny that KG/Marbury was fun, but the way Unicorn runs a team is a thing of beauty. Love is great. Everyone is better because of Rubio. That couldn’t be said for those playing around Marbury (except maybe Dean Garrett).

plus the Unicorn and Love
will be a pair for longer than KG and Marbury. Also, Rubio seems to have his head on straight.

Yeah,
we are mostly guaranteed three years of awesome. Maybe longer, but neither can opt out before then.

The part that made this ? hard for me was
KG > Love
Marbury < Rubio
But Love closes the gap more than Marbury probably ever will for Rubio. But time must tell. All I know is its great to have that 1-2 combo that so many other NBA teams wish they had and it brings me back to my childhood days of those 2.
But if I asked who was the crazier combo it wouldn’t even be close.
