ima so psyched for this game
let’s go wolves!
by Bob Mcflallergy on Jan 29, 2012 5:31 PM CST reply actions
Hi everyone here from Spain,
I feel so nervous today because here we have two of our best players from Spain, Gasol of LA and RR of my beloved wolves.
My prediction today is that RR will get 20 points and 10 assists as well as KL gettin 30 point and 15 boards, thus the wolves win the game 104-102.

Hola, hola.
Let´s beat L.A.

I hope they win for our CH brethren attending the game including
dontbesomean, cynical jason, coolminnesota, PDGirl, etc., etc.
speaking of which, SnP.. do you not go to the games?
You’re always running the board.
back to back games for L.A.
they’re tired, but they, like every other team, will be up 10-0 to start the quarter.
I also made a bet with myself on this game...
If the Wolves win, I’m gonna order a pizza. If they lose, I’m eating Ramen for the second meal today.
I wouldn't either
If I was playing for a team that ried to trade me.

When was the last time we were favored against the Lakers?
Gotta win this one! Go Wolves!
Looking forward to this game
and of course the glorious company of the CH community!

my wife once accidentally called kobe...
…“Colby O’Bryant.” the nickname has stuck around here.

NBA TV pregame
is a joke. They said Pek came off the bench against SA (he started). They got something else wrong, then they put up a graphic where they clearly switched the free throw numbers with the 3-point numbers.
Yo ho ho and a FirstRow stream!
MWP starting
Luke is going to be a problem on defense
Michael Beasley is a Small Forward. Derrick Williams is a Power Forward.
And another start for Wes
…that’s it
by Spread-the-Love on Jan 29, 2012 6:12 PM CST up reply actions
Better than putting him on Kobe
Michael Beasley is a Small Forward. Derrick Williams is a Power Forward.
I thought that was going to be disastrous,
but Mr. Peace had an awfully quiet game.

Ron Artest says...
“I got bored with defense because it was so easy for me to stop people over the years. I got real bored with it. When you’re playing against guys and you’re stopping guys every single time, what else are you going to do [but get bored]? It caught up to me, but this year I’m doing better. This year I’m almost back to where I want to be.”

So this is the game where Pau actually plays like Pau
Fan-goddamn-tastic.
T'Wolves 2012: Where A Is For Intangibles
it's not Pau.. it's that the Lakers haven't been playing through him Mal..
I was hoping they wouldn’t figure it out just for us, but it looks like they have.
Ricky gets so many layups blocked..
still love him though
by Spread-the-Love on Jan 29, 2012 6:19 PM CST reply actions
a block out of bounds
is so worthless, what a waste, Bynum could have easily tipped it to himself, instead he swats it to the third row and immediately start high fiving teammates, idiot.
Michael Beasley is a Small Forward. Derrick Williams is a Power Forward.
Hell of a drive for Wes, taking Fish to the bucket!

why would they not put kobe on rubio?

I thought they would start Darko to deal with Bynum on the defensive end..
but yeah, there is no disputing Pek is much better than Darko offensively.
Kobe just yelled an expletive
when he saw he was airborn headed Pek’s way….
www.unleashkevinlove.com
I never thought I'd say this, but it'd be nice to have Darko and Pek on the floor together right now.
the good thing is pau gasol's not gonna shoot this well all game
by Bob Mcflallergy on Jan 29, 2012 6:22 PM CST reply actions
Wes better be in the game every second that Kobe is.
He’s playing great defense.
Now if Love can stop Gasol…
not down by too many
hanging in there. the lakers’ bench is even worse than the wolves’ … should be interesting

Michael Beasley is a Small Forward. Derrick Williams is a Power Forward.
damn it Gasol
like a well raised spaniard I just love unconditionally any son we’ve sent overseas… but don’t take it so seriously tonight !!!
Wayne hasn't done too bad so far on him surprisingly.
Not a good as Wes though.

We have no one tall or fast to stop Pau in this kind of mood.
T'Wolves 2012: Where A Is For Intangibles

I thought I'd give the CH game thread a try
it always amazes me that the TW can be 20-17 when they are shooting so poorly…
magical unicorns somehow keep the other team's points
practically the same as the Twolves even though it seems like they should be 10 up… I believe
It's true :)
We don’t question why or how. Ricky – the magical unicorn – is an experience all its own.

One thing we don't want to see is Kobe distributing
You just hoist up those fadeaways, Kobe.
T'Wolves 2012: Where A Is For Intangibles
That was an assist
like a PG tossing it off the backboard on a break.
They even looked cold
warming up for the second half. It was a brick-fest.

definitely should be down by more...
…now let’s take the lid off the rim and go to town!
http://www.davechisholmmusic.com
I think we should just expect slow starts with this team
we are now 2/20 with the only good starts being the first SA game and the WAS game.
Michael Beasley is a Small Forward. Derrick Williams is a Power Forward.
You get the feeling the Lakers dished out about all they had
and the Wolves have yet to get started, and we’re only down by three
by HowManyFoulsOnShaq? on Jan 29, 2012 6:35 PM CST reply actions
Need Webster in there taking the corner 3's
It’s not even good defense, just bad misses on wide open shots.
Kobe's so smooth...
but he’s teetering on the edge of the cliff this season…you can see him having to work harder and harder to get shots that used to come easy

Nice dish from Beas
I like the way he’s playing today even if his shot is not dropping
Can't work out who's the bigger ball stop
Beas or Derrick Rose. I know Rose actually scores for his team but did any of you see the Heat game earlier? No other Bull ever saw the ball!!!
It was really fun to be there and witness that.
Pek really bothered Bynum (wish he’d bothered Pau more). He didn’t see the court again, though, after getting called for his fourth foul.

WTF is with this lineup..
Beas if you’re doubling down on Bynum.. fucking double down.. don’t just stand next to him
Derrick.. you don’t have to drive every time.. you can shoot the open jumper
Just horrible shooting. We could be up by a ton right now if we had just hit our open shots.
If I'm pissing you off its probably sarcasm
Beasley
is disrupting the flow of our offense, but it is getting better.

Good call
He’s gonna be feeling out what he can do with the bench as more and more guys come back from injury, too. Webster’s back, Beasley, Miller coming, maybe even Lee at the end of the month… Gonna get a little iffy as guys fight for minutes.
And he looks great!

Early Laker's run led by Pau
Run back to even by the Wolves. 2nd Quarter’s been all Lakers. Wolves bench is playing like jit.
We look like and excellent team
Excellent handball team.
Or soccer team, perhaps.
I like this Kobe iso Lakers team
As opposed to the pound every possession through the paint team we saw in the 1st.
Beas needs to learn how to move off the ball on offense..
He’s destroying the offense.. take the ball out of Ricky’s hands and doesn’t move when he doesn’t have it. Damn it Beas..
Adelman Jumped off the bench after that pass
I’ve never seen him so excited.
only down 8
have to take that with this performance
Down 8 at the half.
Gasol’s 1st quarter mastery slowed a bit in the second. Lots of Kobe iso in the second.
Hopefully our bench normalizes in the second and they can fight back into this.
offensive boards
second-chance points.

I thought we looked okay
outside of the terrible outside/bench shooting.
I have nightmares
about Nikola Pekovic. They involve lots of fire, broadswords, axes and darkness.
www.unleashkevinlove.com
A thousand years ago
Pek probed the field of battle in a suit of leather, chain, and plate, and cut men to pieces with an axe. You should fear him.
If you shoot 17% less and are still in it, then it's definitely a game
T'Wolves 2012: Where A Is For Intangibles
I hate to say it, but incorporating Beas in the game is killing us..
the defense and offense are awful when he is in the game.. he needs to figure it out
How many more games does he have
in your 20-30 game trial plan? I need to start a count down.
I didn't realize the first par of the season was off the clock
What if I told you the trade deadline was 23 games away. Does that shorten the lenient end of that range at all?
Quick game synopsis anyone?

Rubio
Needs to be more aggressive and take the ball to the rack more. Fisher can’t stay in front of him.
Adelman looks like a guy who wandered in off the street with a bottle of Boone Farm in a paper bag.
I wonder where he copped the suit.
50% disagree

He does, I noticed on the Spanish broadcast they said he didn’t. But he does and its a very noticeable Balkan accent.
Its hard to pick up accents
When listening to a language that’s not your native one.

Turns out that up until age 3 your mind catches a lot of subtle sounds pertaining to your language and learns them. If you don’t grow up with a language you won’t hear those sounds and thus won’t be able to replicate them

They should try to get him the ball early in the 3rd quarter
Bynum has 2 fouls. Of course, LA probably has the same strategy since Pek has 3.

I hate Kobe Bryant. He killed the All-Star Game
My favourite game of the year in my youth.
An excellent display of passing, fastbreak, sharing the ball, the minutes and the pure joy until that greedy Grinch wanted badly to get the MVP shooting 30+ shots one year.
Since then LeBron, Kobe and the like, individual mined freaks playing a collective game have transformed the ASG in a series of boring 1 on 1 with no D.
I hate Kobe Bryant
because he’s Kobe Bryant.
Man I hate him

He doesn’t look like he’s doing anything special, but all of a sudden he’s past the defense and at the rack. And every shot goes in. Unreal. I hate him, but I was just shaking my head all game.
