T'Wolves 2012: Where Players We Hate Suck All The Time
Yep, it's as good as a pass to Love anyway, so it should be done
If Love is in position, it’s a hi % shot whether it goes in or not. Same for Pek
KMaret is a textbook example of what the Wolves
need at the 2
Ricky is lobbing at an Ooptimal level!
You must be joking
Pek only knows how to break things. I’m waiting for him to go Shaq-fu on the backboard
Finally, Rubio is taking offffff...
Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana.
Rubio currently has 9 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds.

it's funny.. Lowry is so unconfident in his shot right now it's helping us a great deal..
that’s why it’s a big problem when Dragic is in
I really think Luke has to come out
his defense is actually better in some respects than he gets credit for, but one on one against Martin he doesn’t have a prayer.
T'Wolves 2012: Where Players We Hate Suck All The Time
I'd be starting Ellington
but I tell you, he does come on the weak side help really well
T'Wolves 2012: Where Players We Hate Suck All The Time
don't get me started Mal.. I'm going to get really angry talking about Rid
not at you, but at Rid
I'm kind of putting this on Adelman
Yes, Luke is not a good defender. He’s also not an SG. Of course, if we had a 2 who could hit a shot then I don’t think Adelman would be doing that
If that was Lebron James, it would have been all over Sportscenter
T'Wolves 2012: Where Players We Hate Suck All The Time
Sure looked like a beautiful block to me.

JPete says
sometimes I question Luke’s shot selection. Understatement? Show of Hands?
Ricky is lobbing at an Ooptimal level!
I hate watching Houston.. they throw their bodies into people all the time..
effective, but ugly to watch Scola and Martin
Has anyone else noticed that Love has been complaining a lot less since he signed?
Or at least the last few games? I like it
Luke is no where near Kevin Martin
They need someone else covering the best play on the other team for the love of God.
O really, you think your funny well Fukudome!!!
Rubio can have that all night long, yes
because he can make that

plus- then i get menard’s commercials
what an unbelievably shitty pass
terrible, Wes
there are times we are confused too
course there are many more times we are confused with Wes’s shooting.
Ricky is lobbing at an Ooptimal level!
Wes' shooting isn't confusing

I like him on the bench, but who starts?
I’ve seen enough of Wes. Do you go Wayne and Martell just to have Beas on the bench?
Why not start Beas?
It’s not like he was doing all his damage when separated from Rubio. If this is how he plays, he’s a starter and a third star — not a sixth man.
by LoveTo on Jan 30, 2012 9:43 PM CST up reply actions 1 recs
I do like the idea of Beasley on the non-rubio squad
cause those lineups look like a whole lot of suck. I don’t think Beasley is helped a lot by Rubio, at least not as much as another wing, so I see him ideally as a 6th man on this squad. He’d still get his minutes
Late to the party, but
after tonite’s performance, Wes should never see more than emergency minutes again. $ points, 3 boards, and 6 turnovers. And that turnover number is probably being very, very charitable. Just looked afraid to shoot all night and chose to turn the damn ball over instead.
"I don't want to have to read you the riot act, but I am going to have to read you some extracts from the riot act."
yes.. very strange decisions today.. twice he should have dunked the ball
only to throw it away, silly passes, etc. He’s not as bad as he played tonight, but wow.
slick passes
are the new slam dunks for the Wolves. Wes was trying to hot dog
Yo ho ho and a FirstRow stream!
A tad bit reactionary
but at this point, I would gladly trade Wes in return for the toaster oven (now used) we gave to the Heat to get Beasley.
"I don't want to have to read you the riot act, but I am going to have to read you some extracts from the riot act."
We'll get a third shot at 500 at home against the Pacers.
and looking ahead we play the Nets on Friday (a game I shall be attending) Will we be over 500?
True
But, they are 2-8 at home and their improvement has been against the East. Not saying its a gimme, but those are the games you have to win to make the playoffs.
Tickets
are ridiculously cheap on Stubhub
Argh I might have a track meet to compete in that day!
I’ll have to work around it b/c I love seein the Wolves live…and that’s the last time they’re in the area.

The lockout killed the Wolves @ MSG. Very disappointed
Williams looked completely clueless out there in the first half
Which is presumably why AT played in the 2nd half.

Would be a 7 seed in East
Spurs, jazz, lakers could fall to 9 in West. Wolves got shot at 7 or 8
signature
Niko Peko in 17 minutes...
gets 7 rebs (4 of them orebs) and 8 pts on 4 of 6 shooting.
So why only 17 minutes? Had 3 fouls and more to give.
OTOH, lower minutes for Love and RR tonite, 35 & 37, which is a good start to a trend, I hope. Nik could take another 2 or 3 of Love’s minutes. JJB will take a few of RR’s minutes when he returns, so they can both play til the end of the season. In theory.
Got into early foul trouble
Then Rockets went small. So Rick stayed with Adelman at center.
I'd rather have Rambis at center.

Time to say goodbye from Spain. 4:32am here and I need some sleep. Great win!
We need 1 win to get .500 and start getting some credit for the play-offs when we win over Western play-off teams (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio).
- Wes should be the third option at the SG position and in any case be a starter.
- I’ll wait with Beasly off the bench for a couple of games, and then upgrade him to the starting line-up.
- Love, Ricky solid.
- Pek getting his minutes and improving game by game.
- Luke has to take the shots but not try to run the point and quickly shoot.

I think we should give Dwill a break.
There hasn’t been a lot of practices at all, and the twolves have a very deep and complicated roster. It has only been a third of a shortened season, and we should at least give him by the end of this year to make a judgement.
making judgements?
that, in itself, isn’t a good thing.
Many of those judgments are based off poor information.

You dont cut bait
until you give a guy a chance. Terrible move as a GM to trade the number 2 overall pick 20 games into the season.
Not a bust
Just that he’s never going to be able to be the player he can be behind Love. He can’t play center, he can’t play the 3. They won’t be able to get him 30-35 mpg next to Love. That’s an insane use of a #2 pick and I think even the team knows it. This has nothing to do with what he could be, player-wise. They don’t have a spot for him that gets him minutes and every game that goes by his value lowers.
Damn, if only there was a way
that this could have been known prior to draft day.
I agree

You are Implying that we have to trade him
The 2nd pick of the draft, 21 games into a strike-shortened season, on a team with a new coach and a not even close to fully evolved roster.
But those judgements will determine the perceived trade value of one Derrick Williams.

I think D will is going to be a great weapon for us later in the season. who do you even want to trade him for then?
At what position?
Is Love going to be sitting the bench with his new contract?
And Wayne Ellington is going to be as good as James Harden :)
I love the optimism (I could use a bit more of it myself), but I don’t see Williams ever thriving here.
