No Ricky Rubio. No Derrick Rose. It's an over/under on who will return first, in a race where you might actually be better off coming in last.

The Bulls have a revamped bench to try and fix their depth problems, but that bench has been not-so-good so far this preseason. If Chicago wants to survive until Rose swoops in for the rescue, then coach Thibs is going to have to do something he's not really done yet: construct a real playbook. Iso-Rose doesn't work real well without Rose.

Credit Adelman for one key thing: his system is built to not be 100% reliant on any one player.
