Presidential debate analysis

I was surprised when I checked CH this morning and didn't see any discussion of last night's debate, so I thought I'd stir things up by getting people's opinions, since political talk tends to be very interesting here and spawns comment counts into the hundreds.

My analysis as an Obama supporter to get things started: I think debates would be better if candidates had to tell the truth to make their points, or at least explain some specifics of their plan, but it was up to Obama or the moderator to call Romney out on it and they didn't. Therefore, Romney won the debate, both on style and substance, even though it was thoroughly confusing to watch him run away from his own tax plan. He made his points forcefully and clearly. Obama was passive and landed very few blows, and he seemed like he was playing not to lose. He also got lost in statistics at times without giving them much rhetorical anchor, which led to me not remembering much of the content of what he said this morning.

Anyway, let me know what you thought.
