Trail Blazers fan here (don't everyone stand and applaud at once), with a serious question about Roy.
How do you, the fans, feel about your team signing him? 2 years, 10mil guaranteed isn't that big an investment. BUT, his knees are bone-on-bone. That's the sort of problem that doesn't heal. EVER. All the rest, all the experimental European treatments, all the voodoo you can do isn't restoring those knees to proper health. This is a known fact, as was the state of his knees when he signed that contract.
He's been playing ~24 minutes/game, and after only 5 games he's out with shock knee issues. It was known, and acknowledged before the season started, that he wasn't the All-Star he used to be. That he couldn't handle an 82-game season. That he'd be playing sub minutes and taking games off.
Taking all of that into account, are you guys happy he's on your team? Were you happy when you first heard he was signed? A large portion of Blazer's Edge wish there was a way we could get him back (a view I do not share, I contend he's done and been done), even knowing his health/availability is unreliable, at best.
Thank you for all serious replies, and enjoy the season, you should end up better than us :-\
