The Carolinas have been an important wellspring for music, from early country, gospel and bluegrass to college/alternative bands. Can the Bobcats hope to beat the Timberwolves song v. song?

My first choice for Carolina was something by Good Charlotte, but as Chris Rock said, they are " more like mediocre Green Day!"

Second choice was "Carolina in my Mind" by James Taylor, which is the unofficial state(s) anthem. Yeah, it's a good song and JT is talented, but in the end it's all just a bit too Sensitive New Age Guy-ish for my tastes.

So I settled on this as the best representation of Michael Jordan's team:

The clear winner? Minnesota Timberwolves! Even without most of their key players, they beat the Bobcats tonight, 86-76.
